Title: Rammstein
Post by: Shinigami on October 09, 2006, 01:41:20 PM
Anyone else a Rammstein fan.

I've actually been to one of their concerts, very cool stuff.  Although I didn't end up with melty face.  Despite being a fan, Mike's riffs on Rammstein had me laughing like i haven't laughed in a while.  I especially liked his lispy mispronunciation of the name.

I can speak a little German, he's saying "The fluffy rabbit leaped and played"

This is from their delightful album "Music to Murder and Eat Another Human Being By"

The gentle side of Rammstein.

Not a big fan of their music, although I do not dislike them at all.

"The gentle side of Rammstein." comment had me rolling as well.

I saw Rammstein at the Brixton Academy in London a couple of years back. It was the best damn concert I ever saw (just edging out Faith No More).

I was right down at the front when the flamethrowers came out at the end, and I absolutely lost the plot at that point - that is, I completely lost my ability to deal with the spectacle in a rational manner.

Picture this:

The lead singer's coat is on fire...
His mic stand is on fire...
He is flanked on both sides by two more nutters...
Their mic stands are on fire as well...
The two flanking nutters have flamethrowers attached to their mouths...
They are shooting jets of fire over our heads...
As the songs reaches its crescendo, I happen to glance down and spot a cigarette butt still smouldering on the floor nearby...
"Ooh," I think, eyeing the butt as the oxygen in the mosh pit drops below critical levels, "that's a bit dangerous..."
