Title: Taken
Post by: Junkyard on July 17, 2007, 06:49:20 AM
Has anyone else seen this?
It's a 15 hour series created by Steven Spielberg spanning 4 generations of alien abduction, starting in WWII.
I personally thought it was very well done. (I wouldn't have watched the whole thing if it wasn't.) The actors were good, and you cared about the charicters. The effects were on the upper end of the Sci-fi Channel's spectrum, and it should be noted that the series didn't rely on cool effects.
The only two stars you would recognize from it are Dakota Fanning and Matt Frewer, I think, but everyone did a good job.

Oh, and Apparently Heather Donahue was in this: The scruffy girl from Blair Witch!

By the way, I accidentally posted this thread in Movies, instead of TV. Is there a way I can move it myself?

Actually I forgot to include that I saw bits of this at work (I don't have a TV) and the segments I saw were pretty interesting, must throw this on the dvd rental list to check out at some point.

Nope, that would be the extended edition of "Dude, Where's My Car?" :)

Just barely... (http://www.amazon.com/Dude-Wheres-Office-Space-Widescreen/dp/B0000C0FMY/ref=sr_1_13/105-0644034-4866865?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1184726720&sr=1-13)

And I'm offended on principle that they seem to be suggesting that people who like Office Space will like Dude, Where's My Car - or that they are on the same level in terms of humor and/or quality. :P
