Title: Best line
Post by: MarkAndrew on May 09, 2007, 04:26:28 PM
I'm laughing my head off to this trax.

My favorite line so far: Trogdor!

...a young boy leaves home to go hunting...
Fascinating.  I'll alert the media.

I loved all the lines about everyone's FABULOUS armor.

And of course:

KEEEEEEP HOOOOLDING OOOON
'Cause you know we'll make it through
We'll make it through

Disembaudio takes another one.  The credits were hilarious.  I love when dis gets involved.  The laugh track in Battlefield Earth was awesome and this tops it.

I loved the riffs on Arya's name.

Dis, oh, what can I say about Dis?  As I said before, don't quit your day job, man.  It's hard to believe the whole "evil overlord" image he tries to project here now :D

They could have done something with that line.

Personally, I've yet to pass a stone, but when I do I somehow doubt I'll miss it when it's gone.

The line that killed me was:

"Carolingian or Byzantine?"

But I also lost it when the film looked like it was ending and Mike started giving the wrap up and then another ending came in.

"...and generations untold will blame you for his death"

Any time they rightfully pointed out what a puss that kid was gave me a good laugh. This one is one of my favorites so far, I think.

With all the Star Wars parallels, I'm surprised Mike and Kevin didn't explain that Eragon 'must hit his small, thermal exhaust heart, right below his main heart' in the final battle.

Reading that, I just realized that Eragon tries to use his targeting computer dragon vision to help him kill the evil guy but gives up on that and uses the force bond between dragon and rider instead.

Best line is my new Avatar subtext: "Ahh! Please don't point at me to death."  :D

This riff is one of my top favs now. Utterly hilarious.

I loved the whole discussion of horse meat.   Who knew Michael celebrated the "Horse of July" with a big horse cook-out.

So many good lines in this one. My fav has to be;

Mike (as dragon to dying Jeremy Irons):

Stand back & let me roast the sad bastard!

I have 15 Rifftrax and this one is now my favorite (The Matrix is now my second favorite).

I can't pick just one line, so here's my 3 favorites (but there are many many other 'laugh out loud' moments in this one)

1. Happy face....Sad face

2. The whole "Horse of July" exchange

3. Mike: Wait....He has to go buy bread, but he can't talk to anyone?
Kevin: Perhaps a brief pantomime about flour and yeast.

Yeah, that made me laugh, but what made me laugh harder is when Kevin admitted "I never get that right."

I also laughed a lot when Brom was crystallized and Mike chimed in with: "And so they mourn their friend Brom, encased as he was in crystal forever, realising too late that he had left this world bearing a sizeable chubster, which would now be on display for thousands of years."

Chubster.  :D How many penis euphemisms are there? 10,000,000?  :D

"Ya got any cheese!?"

When the Urgals [Urkels] are raiding the little group of peasants. I burst out laughing.

And when Brom is assessing the dragon and he gets to the line where he says

Brom: All in all...
Kevin (as Brom): ...a monstrous abomination.

 :D

I simply can't decide. I'll have to re-watch this tract for another verdict.

"Yeah, I'm drunk. What're you gonna do about it, you Aussie git?"

And too many more to mention.  :D Fantastic riff.

Sooooo many good ones!

Halt and be fabulous!

Trogdor!

But it was the Urkel lines had me on the floor.

"TROGDOR!"
"Halt and be fabulous!"

Just about anything related to those "flamboyant" costumes, actually.  The one about Bjorn Borg (or whatever the hell the poor-man's Obi-Wan's name was) and his sizable chubster had me in stitches as well.

God, I can't even narrow it down to just one.  This is one of the best trax I've seen so far.

Haha I loved this rifftrax.

I like the jokes about how you never freakin' know who that uncle/dad/godfather guy is.  Until he's dead!

Disembaudio singing over the end credits had/has me in stitches

My landlord was watching this movie (non-riffed version) with his kids and I had to leave the room when the song came on at the end cos I couldn't contain my giggles having heard the riffed version  :D

Can't remember the exact quote but

For it is written when the sword glows red he who yields it shall fall asleep alone after eating a can of Chef-Boyardee straight from the can.
How long's it been glowing red for?
Ooh going on six years.

I'm still surprised to hear a Clerks reference in a riff of a PG movie!

Okay, I was rewatching this today, and I think I may have discovered one of the most obscure references that the guys have ever done. During one of the fight scenes, Mike and Kev burst into this song:

http://www.youtube.com/v/7kKU1S0lWxo&hl=en_US&fs=1

Why burst into an allegedly Swedish folk song from the 1940s during E-ragon, home of all of your internet ragon needs? Who knows? But it was done anyway. I only recognized it from a chance link I saw while looking into the Trololo thing a while back.

Finally decided, and I shall correct you.

"Legend has it, that when the sword gloweth blue, its weilder shall fall asleep in front of the X-Files after eating beefaroni straight from the can."
"I'm guessing that sword's been glowing blue for a while now?"
"Six solid years."
