Title: RIP Andrea
Post by: gbeenie on December 11, 2017, 08:09:59 PM
Y'all, I have some terrible news. Andrea Krottner, known on here as Anais Butterfly, died on Saturday. Her sister writes on Andrea's Facebook profile:

This is Andrea's sister and sadly she has passed away on Dec. 8. We're sorry for the delay in sending this out to everyone. We appreciate your friendships with her and we hope for everyone to heal from this sudden and terrible loss.
She will be greatly missed.
We will continue to post more updates.

I'll share any additional updates from her family.

Thanks for posting - We've been discussing it in a couple of threads, but a dedicated thread is better. She will be missed here for sure.

Yeah I thought about starting a dedicated thread but left the discussion going in the other threads..

She was an amazing person to talk with and converse with on the forum and on FB.
Talking to her by phone about my late wife's Dish satellite bills a few years back was a lot of fun as well. I really loved the bacon-chocolate chip cookies she made for me (and a few others) years ago and remembering I had to hide them from my late wife because she was the jealous type :D
She will be very sorely missed here and truly was the best butterfly on the forum :'(

Thank you so much, gbeenie.  We had heard but we appreciate you coming back on to tell us.  She will definitely be missed around here.

God damn it... When she first mentioned she had pneumonia, I told her I've known people who died from it. But I certainly didn't expect it to actually happen to her.

I didn't know anais.butterfly all that well, but I can say this: Her Beatles Songs List of Crap is hands down, no contest, the best one anyone has ever done on this site. Seriously, if you missed it, go to the Masterlist and look it up. It is incredible.

As soon as I get the address I'll be sending a sympathy card to Andrea's family. I'm still thinking about what I should say, because I know this must have come as a seriously terrible loss to her family, and while I'm sure they'll be in mourning for many a year to come, I'm still gonna be dealing with her loss for a while myself. I'm so worried that I'm coming off as selfish or something.

I just got a card from Andrea's family today. They said they really appreciated my friendship with her and my card to them. I want to say something I think Andrea would want me to say... "Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels... hers was the most... human.".

Man it's still weird to me that she's gone.. Was the cause of her passing ever revealed?
Been watching Archer the past couple of weeks (up to Season 6 currently) and think about her a lot while watching them. I really wish now that she was still around so we could talk about the show :'(

No I don't think it was and I wasn't going to ask.

I thought it was the pneumonia that she said she had?
