Title: Guide to HD reauthoring? (Mac and/or PC)
Post by: eegah on May 13, 2017, 05:00:24 AM
I've been making reauthored DVDs on my windows pc for years, but it has become old and slow now. If I'm going to have to change my computer, I figure that I might as well start making HD reauthors. I did a search on the forum here and was surprised that I couldn't find a guide to do that. Is there one and I just missed it? It could be Mac or PC based (although Mac would be more convenient). I don't need to make a disc. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance.

I have my own reauthoring method.  i could elaborate, but what is your desired format?  I personally use AppleTV to stream all my movies, so i use m4v(an advanced mp4).  But if you use VLC or Plex, you'd probably be better served with mkv(Mastroka).

I can rip BluRays into mp4 using MakeMKV but as for what program to use after that and adding the mp3 track to it, I haven't tried experimenting with that yet..
Though I believe Pinnacle Studio 14 could do it, just haven't tried :-\
