I've got absolutely no problem with her wearing heels throughout the movie. I would be perfectly fine with her to be wearing high heels in the next movie too.

She was running around in mud and soft dirt. I don't know how that is even physically possible in heels.

Don't you see though? her ability to do such a thing vastly increases her... appeal.  ;D

Possibly, but I'll overlook that in favor of Bryce Dallas Howard any day. She's just too damn foxy. And maybe that explains how she outfoxed the T-Rex.

Yup, a woman being attractive is much more important than accuracy (or her safety).

Heels are stupid, and when I am a dictator, only drag queens may use them (if they want. They don't have to).

My point was that Chris Pratt's character was actually making a valid point, for her own safety. And it was just ignored because the movie apparently wanted to send a "girl power" message, but was doing it ineptly.

And I would vote for you, Anais, on an "abolish heels" platform. Especially if you included corsets in that. I've never been in favor of a lot of the torture devices women wear.

… because you're being a sexist asshole who only values women for their appearance?

Soguru, me expressing my opinion in opposition to you is not an attempt to make you feel bad. You take things too personally.

If I wanted to make you feel bad, I would say "Your music is bad and you should feel bad" /zoidberg

After everything that's happened and my deep seated self-consciousness that I'm not sure I can do anything about, damn right I take things personally. I was expressing an opinion about something. If somebody doesn't like it, they have a right to say so. But there is a line between disagreeing with me and just making me feel like a jerk for my opinion.

‘Jurassic World 2’: J.A. Bayona Confirmed to Direct (http://collider.com/jurassic-world-2-ja-bayona/)
The untitled Jurassic World sequel will open on June 22, 2018 and star Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Quote from: MATT GOLDBERG
Personally, I’ve only seen Bayona’s 2007 film The Orphanage, which was quite good. His next movie, A Monster Calls, opens later this year, and judging by the trailer, it looks incredible to the point where hiring him to helm the sequel to one of the highest-grossing films of all-time seems like a no-brainer. While it’s unlikely that Jurassic World 2 will outperform the original at the box office (a fact that has to do with sequels rather than anything specific to the Jurassic franchise), this is still a huge get for Bayona, and while I was a bit disappointed with Jurassic World, I’m excited to see what he does with the material (Trevorrow and Derek Connolly are writing the script, which does give me some pause).

That's cool that they got a horror director.  It'll be nice to see if the sequel will be more tense, along the lines of the bunker scenes from the first film.  Might be an interesting change of pace.  Maybe going along with the implications from World, maybe the new movie will be called Jurassic War, and all the dinos will be used in military ops, and there will be a lot of creepy tunnel scenes or something.

Yeah, it sounds ridiculous, but Jurassic World was ridiculous, too, and I enjoyed that, so...yeah.  We shall see.

EXCLUSIVE: JURASSIC WORLD 2 TO BEGIN PRODUCTION FEBRUARY 2017; RETURNING TO HAWAII (http://jurassicoutpost.com/jurassic-world-2-begin-production-february-2017-returning-hawaii/)
Quote from: Chris Pugh
The news keeps roaring in, and this time it answers a big question: will the islands return? The answer is yes. ‘Ancient Futures’ will begin production in Hawaii on February 27th, 2017! We have exclusively learned (and confirmed) this in conjunction with Reel News Hawaii, so be sure to give them some love as well.

It’s unclear yet if this is the filming start date, or when production will gear up with crew building sets in preparation of filming. Considering the alleged start date in other locales, it seems plausible to be when filming will begin. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes and ears open in hopes of clarifying this.

The primary part of production will take place in London, likely at Pinewood Studios – though it seems other locales will be used as well. Speaking to Wired Magazine (http://www.wired.co.uk/article/jurassic-world-trevorrow-sequel-hints) Colin Trevorrow stated “[It will not be] just a bunch of dinosaurs chasing people on an island, that’ll get old real fast. […] What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?” With that in mind, it seems safe to assume the Hawaii shoot will be more abbreviated than usual, with the majority of the film taking place elsewhere.

Be sure to stay tuned. The news keeps pouring in, and as we learn more, we’ll share more! If you have news you want us to report, be sure to let us know! Otherwise, sound off in the comments below and let us know what you think about the return of Hawaii!

Exclusive: Jurassic World 2 may be off-island, with open-source dinos (http://www.wired.co.uk/article/jurassic-world-trevorrow-sequel-hints)

I'm sure it will be enjoyable. It's just that some things exist to always get bigger, better, more outrageous. Zubin Mehta, Boeing airliners...and Jurassic Park movies.

This one doesn't look bigger. In fact, I saw nothing new except the volcano.

I'm kind of torn. I mean, I'm a BIG fan of Chris Pratt but at this point I've kinda lost a lot of enthusiasm for this film... and a lack of enthusiasm for a movie makes it that much harder for said movie to pry money from my wallet. These days it's just getting more and more difficult for me to go see something in theaters that I can't get really all that excited about. Give me Star Wars, give me Avengers(or most any MCU film) and those kind of films fall squarely in the ball park where the audiences in my head are shouting "hell yeah!!!".

The reviews I've seen for this have been pretty bad. I don't know if I'll even bother watching it once it out on DVD.
At this point in the series I don't see myself caring about any movie that doesn't finally give us militarized dinosaurs. Seriously, jut make a Jurassic World: Dino Riders movie already!

Does anyone else have input on whether or not I should watch this when it comes out on DVD?

I've heard a mixed bag of reviews so far.

Just rent it from Red Box when it comes out and decide then if it's a keeper or not.

I saw it in the theater.  It was pretty awful.  The third act reminded me a lot of Jurassic Park 3.  Just chase after chase after chase.  It got boring.  The heroes were a good example of the "Designated Hero", a hero who is not actually being good but is supposed to be the hero because the plot tells you so.  The villains were cartoonish and 1-dimensional.... I'm surprised he didn't have a mustache to twirl.

The ending was especially terrible...
