Anyone have the forced subs for Godzilla 98?
-
I didn't even notice that they weren't there...weird.

My copy (DVD) didn't have forced subs. The subs were at the bottom of the film.

It appears that the forced subs are integrated into the DVD video. I can get the exact times and create this, but I first need to understand what the trailing number in the subtitles means. Example:
1
00:24:19,960 --> 00:24:23,964
Captain Klaa, we have a target in sight.
A probe of ancient origin.
I understand the duration times that the subs either shows or hides, but what are the numbers after the time stamp? In the example above, the numbers 960 and 964. Is that milliseconds?

In that example those would be milliseconds. The format does vary by what program you are using, some use frame number, some use different time resolutions larger than milliseconds.

Ok good deal. I have a Subtitle Creator program I use. I will compile this, export, test and distribute the file for anyone interested once it's ready.

Just did my own copy. My DVD, at least, also had the forced subs burned in as part of the video. No separate sub file is needed.
