Title: The 2014 NBA Thread
Post by: Bob on December 09, 2011, 05:50:40 AM
So, there is a big three team trade and the NBA steps in and voids it for "basketball reasons".   The reason is the other NBA owners talked to the commish can complained about the Lakers getting Chris Paul and clearing cap space so they can get Dwight Howard.

The NBA...... a continual joke.

I am sure the Rockets who moved several of their players in an attempt to have cap room to sign a center are "pleased" this morning.   Oh hai guys, sorry about trying to trade you, dont worry we really value your services.

I'm happy it's back. Go Bucks!

The season's gonna be brutal league-wide. These back-to-back-to-back games are gonna be killers.

And damn, Rubio's court-vision is incredible. I wasn't aware it was that good. He didn't do much of anything against us earlier in the week for some unknown reason, but the show he put on against OKC & Miami.

American sports don't end in ties right?

American sports don't end in ties right?

Not basketball.

Regular season pro football games end in a tie if the score is still tied after the overtime period. In the playoffs, if the score is still tied after the overtime period, they keep playing sudden death until one team scores.

So, anyone want to buy the LA Clippers?  I imagine they will be for sale in a few hours.

Oh that Sterling.......

I'm amazed the guy was never disciplined after he lost a flipping federal discrimination suit five years ago.

It's like OH MY GOD WE CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S RACIST when the paper trail was a mile long. Guess the fact that the Clippers are actually good now changes a lot of things.

Was a good game, though. Steph Curry has no conscience, much like his dad.

Old men and their trophy girlfs; Yeah the racism shouldn't be surprising, I think it's most interesting that the trigger for this seems to be the fact that he doesn't want something else to be made explicit: That he's an old man with a pretty and significantly younger paramour that he can't satisfy in any way except fiscally.

Coming down to the end and BOTH Conferences are incredibly tight to who gets what seeds and home court advantage?

Exciting.

At least to an NBA fan like me.

Not really an NBA fan, but I typically go to a Bucks game or two every year if I'm in Milwaukee and don't have any other plans (far and away prefer going to see their minor league hockey team). Have been watching the playoffs because of the Bucks being in, but the common criticism of the NBA and the reason I just can't really get into it seems to be holding true- at least for me- nothing really matters in the game until the 4th quarter.
