Eh, it was okay. I gave it a 7. Not their best by any stretch.

Gotta agree wit RVR on this one.  Well, I dunno about a "solid" 9.  I was thinking an 8.5 rounded up to 9.  But then, thinking over all the lines 'n stuff, yeah, I'm very happy ranking this a 9.  I seriously thought this was gonna be an 8, at best.  Much like "Inception" where I could see it being either fairly decent or flat.  Glad to see it succeed my expectations!

I'm agreeing with Darth Geek on this one.  It was fun but by no means their best so I gave it an 8.

I thought this was hilarious. Much better than the last two VoD releases. It helps that this movie was much more watchable. I was tempted to give it a ten, but it's not quite that good. So I went with 9. However it's really more like 9.5.

A few good lines here and there but for the most part it fell flat for me.

Not too shabby.  I gave it an 8.  I hated the last VOD release, and was suspicious to say the least.  I was pleasantly surprised to find they are back to their old form.  It's also been a while since we had a recent theater release Riffed so that was nice also.

I don't remember Vincent D'Onofrio looking like this.

We really enjoyed this one! Many laugh out loud moments. Lost a bit of steam towards the end, though.

I'm calling it a 9. In the great grand Rifftrax scheme probably a 8 or so, but the fact that it really made me laugh hard on a couple occasions and it made the movie a lot more interesting gets a bonus point.

One thing I didn't care for was they went to the "How dare you compare..." well twice in one Riff.

Did they? I remember the Jersey Shore one. Guess I have an excuse to watch this again.

I gave it an 8.

The intro was so good, I couldn't just throw it away, but it didn't take much editing to fit it in between the end of the movie and Disembaudio's singing and works there pretty well.  After the nightmare of reauthoring it, I found it more amusing than hilarious.  I'll give it a second chance later this week, and have a feeling it will be funnier the second time.

Biggest laugh was the "Groundhog Day" reference for me.  Funny that I just watched it last week.  Really liked the Go Lean Crunch series of jokes and "Larpers was funnier!"  The "How dare you impugn Roadhouse" joke came off as lazy in the end because they only went to it twice.  I'm no comedian, but I know about the rule of threes.  If they had gone to it three times, it would have been funny and memorable.  Or, at least, I'd bet that it would.

This was one of the rare Rifftraxes (Rifftraxi?) that my family sat down and watched together. We've only done this for two others, Lost and X3. I enjoyed it, and I was glad they riffed it because I enjoyed the movie a lot. As I say, the only thing that can make a good movie better is a good riff.

I hope they riff Captain America.

Enjoyable, but it came off as a bit by-the-numbers.

7/10

I give it an 8. Fresh and funny, but still a bit "standard stupid comic book movie riff" but I blame that on the movie.

I lol'ed quite a lot during this one!!

I gave this 7 Human Stains. I loved all the Branagh jokes, though the riff as a whole didn't seem quite as sharp as it could have been.

They should do more 80's fantasy-action-adventures. I loved Highlander. I'd rather they did something like Dragonslayer/Beastmaster/Willow than the new Transformers. The problem with most recent blockbusters is that they get bogged down in tiresome action spectacle. Action-adventure films from a couple of decades ago tend to provide much more breathing room for riffs. Does that make sense?

Yup. "How dare you impune the name of 'Roadhouse'".

Watched it again today.  Actually there was a third "how dare your impugn" riff.

"We're not in Kansas anymore."  "How dare you... (etc.)"

I gave it a 7.  I found it most of it mildly amusing, but didn't really laugh out loud that much.  I wasn't that impressed for the first 2/3rds or so, but toward the end it picked up steam.

I gave it a seven. Not one of their best but still funny of course.

What was with all the bashing on Kat Dennings' character? Seemed kinda out of nowhere. Was her character really loathsome?

What did Thor actually do to redeem himself?

Biggest plot hole in the movie.

He took on Gort robot incinerator thing without any weapons, sort of sacrificing himself for his friends.  Just a little thinking of others was a big step for him...

What?  That isn't enough to be worthy of being a god king?

Yeah, the frost giants seemed to shrink as the movie went on, wasn't the frost king way bigger at the start of the movie?

I guess I mean--what exactly moved him in this direction? We didn't see any development of his personality on Earth. He had like 3 scenes, and two of those were eating or drinking.

Ahh, well, uh, I guess time spent as comic relief is pretty humbling for a spoiled brat/child/man/god....   And he couldn't lift his hammer, that changes a guy.  ;)

i have to say the whole sent to earth without his powers is drastically different from what they did in the comic. which is why this seems kind of meh. and not thought out.

I loved the product placement jokes. Can someone remind me what innocuous cereal they fixated on? (I keep thinking Honey Bunches of Oats but know that's not it, it was some other "healthy" cereal). I thought it was great fixation humour in the "Vader hates sand" vein.

Maybe I'm just used to it, but I didn't really notice the product placement while I was watching this the first time. That, or maybe I thought Kashi Go Lean cereal was a fake brand they made up as a joke, since it sounds so COMPLETELY UNAPPEALING.

Yep. Kashi Go Lean Crunch. See, it's less disgusting because of the Crunch.

No, really, it's just as disgusting.

Hah, thanks for confirming it's KASHI GO LEAN CRUNCH.

It didn't stick out to me either when I watched the movie pre-Rifftrax; it's not the type of "in your face" cereal I associate with product placement & mascots (Lucky Charms, Frosted Flakes, Capn Crunch, Count Chocula, etc). Well, if Go Lean Crunch has a mascot, I'm not aware of it.

Yep. Kashi Go Lean Crunch. See, it's less disgusting because of the Crunch.

No, really, it's just as disgusting.
Still, it's not sand...

Anyway, thanks for confirming the name of the cereal, guys. I remember finding the placement jokes hysterical because it's not your usual crass choice for product placement. It would be like, I dunno, product placement for rice cakes or soy milk. Or an action set piece taking place at a Trader Joe's.... which, come to think of it, might actually be inspired. Michael Bay should throw some organic health foods into his next round of product placement.
