Title: does it work with avi & mkv files?

I was able to open one of these files with the player, but I didn't know if it worked with a rifftrax file.

The Rifftrax player is kind of an addon to Mplayer.  You can use it to play avi, mp4, pretty much any media format.  Since the rifftrax VOD's don't have DMR you will be able to play them.

I believe he was asking if it worked with a downloaded video of say The Matrix.  Right now it does not.  That may change in the future, but doesn't work now.
