Title: Pic of Mike & Lowtax Recording
Post by: gammer on January 30, 2007, 07:34:45 PM
Here is a pic of Mike and Lowtax recording their RiffTrax together.
Pic is from the Something Awful website.

Mike is right, that booth is small.  Musta been cramped with all 3 of them in there.  I can see why Mike doesn't want to do Brokeback Mountain.  Although, riffers are frequently, secretly fond of each other.

At least they wore their headphones the right way! There's nothing more annoying to an audiophile like myself than seeing someone put on a pair of headphones backwards!

Using my zoom feature (unique to Toshiba laptops), it is clearly this newclipping..... which surely means that "Batman and Robin" are next to get the Rifftrax treatment.

Gotta love the little behind the scenes tidbits...

Is it just me, or does Lowtax look like Seth Green with a dye-job in that pic...?

If that is what I think it is in Lowtax's pocket, then he needs some plastic surgery PRONTO. I've heard of hanging to the left, but not at a 90 degree angle!

Why was he calling the pharmacy?!  :o  Did he think there was a Tylenol off-shoot to take care of it?

You'd be surprised what I've seen while working in a pharmacy, stuff that I would have gone to the hospital for.  The worst was my first month of working at a pharmacy.  There was this guy who had a gash out of his abdominal area from some kind of power tool.  He had on a bloody shirt and he put his hand on the counter while pulling up his shirt with the other and got blood on it because he was bleeding so bad.  Then he asked me what he could do for it.  I just stared and didn't know what to say.  I mean, a hospital would be a good choice.  What did he expect me to say? "Suck it up and slap a bandaid on there."  I also see people with all sorts of infected, necrotic wounds coming in and saying, "You think neosporin would work?"  Yes, now that your skin is literally rotting off, I think neosporin is your best bet.  One of my friends had a guy come in who was having chest pains and thought he was having a heart attack, they said he looked pretty bad...he ended up passing out in the pharmacy parking lot (they told him to call an ambulance but he refused and got mad that they couldn't help him.  The pharmacist followed him out there and tried to do CPR when he hit the ground, apparently.  He died later.  People are messed up.

I guess it's because people are too poor to pay for doctors but for something serious, a hospital will have to take you.

I'm guessing Mr. Weewee was just embarrassed. A doctor would want to look.  I sure as hell don't.

those are some crazy stories, id probably be too sarcastic to some (duh).  the gash guy you should have told walk it off, followed imediately that since your not a doctor your advice is as nonbinding as the guy behind him in line ;)

Actually, you can be sued for not providing patient care in pharmacy or proper referral.  Like, if I told the guy to cover himself with a bandaid and he bleed to death, I could be sued and the pharmacy could be sued.  If I refused him care, I could be sued. Well, not me. I'm a student. I can tell them whatever and the pharmacist would get sued.  We're bound by the same creed physicians are bound by.  There's been pharmacists who've had their license taken away for being sarcastic to patients, which sucks because I would be too :)

And yet Gregory House gets away with it every damn week!  ;)

yeah but he sarcastically gives them the advice they need.  He just cuts through their bs to deliver it to them.  I love it.

I think in real life, House would have his license revoked (and his liver transplanted).  That's why I love him so much.  I wish I had the balls to be like House (well, me having balls would be be another topic entirely and I could call a pharmacy and ask them if it was normal).

I've never seen Bones but I hear it's good.

I was actually referring to McCoy from Star Trek. I haven't seen the fox show Bones either.

Oh! Star Trek is the one geeky thing that I don't have going for me.

I've never really watched though. I bet I would like it.  I liked seaQuest back in the day and a friend of mine said that was just badly written Trek on a submarine.  I just don't want to watch because I like saying that I'm not a total dork, hehe.

I did love Star Trek IV though.

But being a total dork is fun.  As long as you are a social conscious amiable person and OVERT about the geeky things its not a problem.  Its the guys who can no longer talk to normal people in public because they start drooling thinking about seven of nine that are the real issues.

I hear ya about the Trek. Some people overly geek out and watch the episodes in their Federation uniforms.

I just like watching it and making fun of it. Oh the many gay Sulu jokes. Botany, crossing swords, colecting specimens, etc...  ;)

Thanks! I actually did search for about 15 minutes with every permutation that I could think of! *sigh*

Edit: I forgot to search for "Lowtax" instead of Rich Kyanka. D'oh. It's in the frikkin' title.  :grr:
