Oh well. I think it says a little something when I have the last 3 episodes of S4 still sitting unwatched on my DVR (Guess I should watch those...)

In the end, I think Heroes was a huge waste of potential.  It squandered some really awesome possibilities for muddled mediocrity.  Superhero fans shouldn't be too upset though, as I believe there are 2 new shows about super-powered people coming in the Autumn.  One called Capes, which will last about 6 episodes, because it stars Summer "Show Killer" Glau.  :)

now that I think about it, I would like to blame her for the cancelation of The Unit!

Summer Glau has what I like to call "Piper Perabo Syndrome," in which, despite the fact that it's not really her fault, whatever she appears in is a sign of trouble.  The difference is, Summer Glau is in good shows that get canceled.  Piper Perabo is a sign that the movie you are about to see is an awful, awful piece of crap, and you can't really blame it on her because it's obvious the project was doomed to failure from the get-go.

But I digress.  Never watched Heroes, not because I don't like superheroes, but it just seemed way too generic for my tastes.  Not hating on it, just never grabbed me the way some of the other failed superhero shows did (I admit, I actually used to watch M.A.N.T.I.S... ;D).

I'd also like to blame the rest of the women on that show.  It was so much better when the left them out of the episodes.

It would've been ok if done right, but they seemed to suffer from Kim Bauer syndrome.  (Although Nicole Steinwedell "Red Cap" was good.  It was mainly the drama with the wives I could've done without.)

This isn't a joke... I didn't know it was still on the air.  I thought it was canceled after the first season, this shocked me for the wrong reason.

Season 1 was great. Season 2 was not as good. Season 3 was pretty atrocious. I then sold my blu-rays of season 1 and 2. I watched the first hour or two of the latest season and then I canceled the series on my DVR. I just didn't care.

The clinical term you're looking for is "Ted McGinley Syndrome".

Yeah, I have to admit, it bugged the hell out of me that every chance Heroes had to give us a slam-bang action sequence, they'd either cut away or it'd be behind closed doors. Which was annoying, because it seemed like they had the budget to always do one. Season 4's been better than season 3 so far, but I can't say that for sure about the entire season until I finally watch the last 3 episodes.

At least there's still Caprica

Their biggest mistake was constantly bringing back Ali Larter.

This campaign to bring the show back may be sending the wrong message. It almost sounds like you guys didn't LIKE the show. ::)

Their biggest mistake was constantly bringing back Ali Larter.

It's on the list, but they had a lot of other mistakes:

1) Hiding the awesome fights, as mentioned above.

2) Too many fucking characters and subplots.

3) Changing Hiro from funny and awesome to an incredible fuckup who could fuck up making a USO sandwich so badly he'd almost blow up the world.

4) Fetishizing Season 1 so much that sooner or later, every volume would flash back to that season or retcon some part of it or both.

5) Having Claire Jump The Cougar about six times a season.

"Jump the Cougar"

Clarify. Is this some play on "Jump the Shark"?

Yeah, it's where a character is such a moron and keeps getting into trouble because of it so they jump the shark instead of a show jumping the shark, such as when Kim from 24 got stalked by a cougar in Season 2.  LMFAO

I think it should be stuck in the bunker with the insane moron who any smart person could tell is lying.

Not only lying, but extra creepy.

I gave up on this way too late.  It should have ended much sooner.  Or, I don't know, wound up in the hands of a team that felt like they had a sense of FRIGGIN' COHESION.

I thought the fourth season was somewhat of an improvement over seasons two and three... Even tho it was no longer appointment viewing, only watched it after a half dozen episodes would backload onto the DVR. I'm sure the same would have held true if they had been renewed for a fifth season... but I won't necessarily miss the show.

This show was written like professional wrestling.  When they got tired of the story line, they just made all the good guys bad and the bad guys good.

All I can say is f*ck the Writer's Guild. It was their bullsh*t that cancelled Heroes Origins and threw the whole show off track whilst slamming the door on any potential new viewers. Also f*ck people who cancel shows with action figures.

Aw, they left out the best part.  Fuel up the Robin Williams doll with a quarter-teaspoon of baking soda, and it'll do wacky antics for hours at a time.

Yeah, that's one thing that always confused me.  Robin Williams taking cocaine was sheer redundancy.

But it was the late 70s.  I don't believe you were allowed to be a movie or TV star back then without mandatory cocaine ingestion.

Thank goodness that lunacy is all over with. <pants catch fire>

Dude, there were like five different LMFAO moments in that post.  Take the rest of the day off.
