Cats have a come a long way lately.  They "hung in there", indeed, on the wall posters of America's cubicles.  And now they are widely acknowledged as the foundation of the entire internet, and thus all modern culture.  Remove the cats, and you're left with nothing.  If not for the existence of confused-cat-dressed-like-Napoleon videos, people would have to send each other links to articles about inconsequential matters like foreign politics, science, or even discuss and examine their own feelings.  In a word: ew.

But little is known about where cats come from.  Are they advanced alien beings, here to exploit our obvious delight at seeing them barf on our stuff?  In exchange for pointedly ignoring us, they are given food, shelter, and an open-air toilet right in our living rooms.  Cats form emotional bonds with humans so strong that they will wait 5, maybe even 10 minutes, before nibbling on the ear of a beloved owner after she has choked to death on a heart-shaped box of chocolates she bought for herself.  What is the origin of these marvelous, sophisticated creatures?

Kittens: Birth & Growth answers this important question, and teaches kids valuable lessons about getting excited for, and then immediately neglecting, adorable new pets.  Watch and learn now, because you can rest assured the cats are watching and learning everything about us.

Mike, Kevin, & Bill can has kitten short nowz?

I haven't even had a chance to comment on the insipidity of that rectangle short yet, and here you are are throwing another one at me.

Buying now, will comment later...

From this sample, it looks like it has the same condescending tone that I love to hear the guys riff on!  Prob buy it tomorrow.  Coincidentally, I went to my local pet adoption center since my roommate is getting a dog soon.  This seems like the perfect place to share what I found there:

No. There are absolutely no adorable little kitties in shelters right now that need loving homes. They're fresh out of kitties everywhere. They've all been adopted. Don't try to tell me otherwise.

...

That one in the back kinda looks like my Phantom. Those are some bigass tags for widdle itty kitties.

Out of curiosity (since the cat has it all) about how long are "shorts" usually?

Shorts are typically 10mins long.  If they're 20mins long, they'll charge $2 instead of $1.

And I think the cat's done with curiosity since, yknow, it killed it.  Just be careful with it now.   ;)

To elaborate- a quick look at the "Shorts" folder on my hard drive show them ranging from 5 to 21 minutes, with most in the 10-15 minute range.

Kittens are neat and clean...

Bill :"Which doesn't change the fact that you now have a box of urine and feces sitting in the corner."

Thanks. Now I'll constantly dwell on that when regarding my own cat.

...which is far preferable to the inevitable urine puddle on the carpet if you leave your dog alone too long. I fear this Riff might be too anti-cat for me.

Oh dear Lord... Nice ;D

I'm with Sharktopus though. I'll take cats over dogs any day (It doesn't help that I had to clean my dog's poop off the carpet earlier today)

I prefer cats too, because the waste is contained within a box and you don't have to walk a cat.  I felt compelled to post that picture from The Onion.

I love dogs and cats equally, but we can't have a dog right now. That's the bottom line - cats are just easier to care for when you're young and have a tiny apartment. Plus, since most dogs will shower me with affection immediately upon meeting them (Dug: "I just met you and I love you!"), I can get my fill of playing with friends, family, neighbors and complete strangers' dogs. Cats you have to build a bond with, which is, I believe, why people who've never had cats, don't like them.

This short was great.  I loved Mike's James Steward voice.  I have two cats that stay outside and a dog that stays inside.
