Title: Now available, right in time for your midnight release party!

Twi-Hard. A once proud word that has been shockingly cheapened by over-use. It used to mean something. These days, any given twelve year old girl with Team Edward wallpaper on her iPhone can be the star of a "Vampire Fever" cover story photo in USA Today. It's not right. Just because some soccer mom blows two months of grocery funds on an elaborate face tattoo replicating the iconic "Cullen baseball" scene, that DOES NOT make her a real Twi-Hard, okay? It's something you earn. It's something you live.

Forgive our emotion on this issue, but it's just that Mike, Kevin, and Bill are probably the biggest Twilight fans on the planet. Just survey Kristen Stewart's file of restraining order requests, and see which names pop up the most (Stephenie Meyer's file is alarmingly similar). So it should surprise no one that these three sparkly warriors trekked to the theater dozens upon dozens of times to feast upon the sweet succulent cinematic nectar that is New Moon. After the fourteenth viewing, the girl at the ticket counter was unable to make eye contact with them, muttering something about "grown men" under her breath. The pimply popcorn vendor filled his friends' inboxes with texts like "OMG third time today," while the theater janitor constantly fought the urge to beat them with his mop. In a word: epic.

But the shame they endured, along with the suffering of their long-neglected wives and children, is your gain. Thanks to these endless, obsessive, life-destroying viewings, Mike, Kevin, and Bill are able to present this RiffTrax of New Moon on the eve of its DVD release. Let's just hope that, now that the ride is over, they can put their lives back together once and for all (they're not making any more of these movies, right?).

No sample yet because of obvious reasons. However, know that I will be going to buy a copy first thing in the morning and coming into the office to make a sample (and a .riff if the disc cooperates.) That's right - I'm spending my beautiful San Diego Saturday buying and working on Twilight: New Moon. For you. The fans. I AM NOT WASTING MY 30% OFF BORDERS COUPON ON IT THOUGH!  :grr:

...for some reason I'm getting a strong urge to re-evaluate my life choices up to this point.  :P

And don't forget that if you buy New Moon you get a buck off any other full length riff.  Just add it to your cart, it's applied automatically.  (limited time only)

Must be very limited time only, I added New Moon and Terminator Salvation to my cart.  No discount.  (I also added the last three shorts released, does that make a difference?)

Nope, I removed the shorts and the discount isn't there.

I emptied my cart and started over.  Still no discount.  I think I'm just gonna skip the "special offer" and just buy New Moon and the 3 shorts.  Thanks anyway.

Hmm, I randomly tested it with Eragon and it worked. Let me see if Salvation is getting skipped for some reason.

EDIT: Nope, it's working for me. I have those two in my cart and it's working fine for me. It shows up under the Order total preview... see the screenshot.

Did you click "checkout"? I thought it wasn't working also, but then I clicked "Checkout" and the discount was listed there (on the screen where you fill out your payment info). It's not applied in the cart.

Thanks, but it is too late now.  Already bought New Moon with the last 3 shorts.    ;D

That's what I get for being impatient!

I'll be sure to get in in the next special offer!

Thrash, why are Mike and CO making you spend your ahrd earned money on the DVD?

I lost the strip-poker game that decided who would go. I would care, but they are usually very generous with the bacon supply, so no biggie.

They don't try to sneak you some Canadian Bacon every once in awhile do they?

Just out of curiosity, is the sample not up yet because the DVD hasn't been officially released yet?  Since I pretty much buy everything you release I rarely watch the samples anymore so I'm just curious about the legal issues in this case.

Remember......any copy of New Moon you buy at midnight tonight is one that doesn't make it into the sweaty hands of a Twi-Hard....   ;)

Ok, everything should be ready for tomorrow.  Bought the riff (got the Raiders of the Lost Ark riff with the discount), New Moon from Netflix should be arriving tomorrow and the new set of 10 dollar computer speakers I ordered should be here as well so I won't have to use headphones or my crappy built in laptop speakers (yes, I still synch up the old fashioned way.  I tried re-authoring once and after about an hour I nearly reenacted the head exploding scene from Scanners).

Really have high hopes for this one, the first Twilight riff is one of my favorites.  In fact, I may re-watch that one in the morning while waiting for New Moon.

You know, I downloaded this earlier (just to make sure it would fully download that way if it didn't, I could petition that it get remedied right away), and played the first part, before the beginning of the movie (before Mike says, "pause"), and then, I later let it play more (Mike:  Okay, and we're back), and then Bill yells something and I can tell this movie is going to be spot on.  SPOT ON!! :D :D :D :D   Just by that exclimation of Bill's I can tell that they have their A-Game on with this one.

From what I've seen of the crew at RiffTrax, losing at strip poker might be considered winning.

OK, got my Rifftrax for New Moon!

Got my Redbox rented copy of New Moon!

Downloaded the last three shorts to watch before New Moon later tonight!

Now all I need to do is reauthor and I'll be ready to experience New Moon!

By the way, is this one of the fastest selling Rifftrax?  I couldn't help but notice that it jumped straight up to the top of the chart.  I'm sure it is very highly anticipated.

(And I hit a brick wall trying to rip this for the reauthor.)  Guess I'll just be watching this the old fashioned way.  I should have just rented it from the on demand, then I could record it to a DVD and go from there.

Well, I own the Riff Trax for both Twilight and New Moon. I guess I might just have a double feature tonight with both movies. Must go to Blockbuster to rent them though.

I'm in the office working on the sample/making sure everything works properly with the sync now. I have purchased a Twilight product and feel oh so very dirty...walking up to the register and getting a dude cashier was the closest I have ever felt to what it must be like to rent porn from the female clerk at a video store.

...of course, I had to upgrade to the steel-case special edition.

You gotta make use of the opportunity! I think I made a convert of the clerk at my Blockbuster when I explained why I was renting the movie, and told her where to find the site. :)

The sample is up on the site and on teh Youtubes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSAb9M51mJw). We did things a little different than usual because of the incredible anticipation and attention this one is already getting. Razor wielding credit  goes to David D. (yes, the one from the staff page)

I hear you!  A couple weeks ago I rented "Paranormal Activity," "Twilight," and "Glitter" to have a Rifftrax weekend and the clerk gave me the kind of look you get if you try to wear a Star Trek uniform to jury duty.

You know, I thought of this while cleaning my cats' litter pans this morning, but I think it would have been better if Stephenie Meyer explained that the Cullens all sparkle because they choose not to drink human blood which pathogenically speaking would make them immune to the effects of sunlight, like there's an enzyme or organism in animal blood that acts like vampire sunscreen or something.

Well, just the fact that this is yet another vampire story where their "curse" is caused by some kind of venom that they pass along through a bite...

This just may be the only one however where they went to great trouble to point it out only to have no one ever try to develop a cure - unlike "Dark Shadows" or  Daybreakers. Even though they go to great pains to demonstrate that if you can get it out of a human's system in time they can go back to normal.

So, you'd think that Bella being a smart girl (they keep telling us - she knows what Pi is after all   :o) and in love with a guy who considers himself an unspeakable monster and damned for being what he is...that like these other stories she would at least attempt to study chemistry and develop a cure or something that replaced blood for them, a la "Vampirella".  For Edward's sake at least.

But, no...screw Edward and his emotional pain.  Because she's a self-absorbed idiot who is obsessed with death.

It's just absurd that of all things that could be a negative about being a vampire sparkling like a gay raver is the worst. He should have a nice, deep chat with Nosferatu or Lestat. In fact, it would be nice if Edward shriveled like Lestat after drinking the blood of a not so recently deceased person. How'd Bella like him and becoming a vampire herself then?  >:D

Wish Edward would take some lessons from the Space Vampires in Lifeforce....then if he doesn't get what he needs on a regular basis he turns to dust.
