Title: What Flaming Things did you learn?
Post by: RVR II on November 17, 2009, 08:06:31 AM
I learned that you can fry prisoners in jail and still be given a chance to start a flaming new life in the end ???

I only watched half of it (due to my DVD exploding), but I learned that the guy who played Cage's dad was much more believable as a motorcycle stunt rider that Cage was.

Daredevils age at four times the speed of reporters.

Mack has a hunting dog with an ironic name.

The devil has very weak contract enforcement skills.  You'd think with all the lawyers down there, he'd be a little better at holding people to the contracts they sign.

I learned Charlton Heston is still getting work and also no matter the context, the only appropriate response to "off the record" is "piss off"

I wonder if reporters ever actually say "off the record" in real life.  Also, is that statement binding in any way at all?  Is there any mechanism that prevents a reporter from saying "tell me this... off the record" then printing up whatever is said anyway?

Off the record,
I believe too many broken verbal contracts have made "piss off" the only safe and acceptable response to pushy news reporters
though wikipedia does say this:
Quote
Even if they cannot report certain information directly, journalists can use "off the record" information to uncover related facts, or to find other sources that are willing to speak on the record. This is especially useful in investigative reporting.
In conclusion,
Piss Off   ;)

I learned that fallen angels cannot enter hallowed ground.  Or maybe they can.  I'm not sure.

I learned that police will see a guy with a flaming head ride up and down buildings with his wheels on fire and not be a bit bothered by that.
