I have been watching the four episodes they have played so far this year and i am shocked to say that i am enjoying new episodes of The Simpsons for the first time in years. Is this season perfect, far from it. But I have found myself laughing and able to care about the stories for the first time in a long time. I am really looking forward to Treehouse of Horror 20. What do you think of this season so far?

This year's Treehouse of Horror was pretty good.
I loved the Hitchcock segment. Moe Hooking up with Marge was one of the creepiest things they have ever done.

Apparently you are the only one that thinks that. I haven't watched the Simpsons on tv in a long, long time, but I figure I probably would be liking the new episodes, since I stuck it out through their worst, and saw that they had started to improve. I think I stopped watching sometime around Ice Cream Truck Homer, but watched the one with Moe dating the little person episode on Hulu, and I rather liked that one.
Suppose I oughta catch up on this season then.
-
I gave up watching years ago when they had the episode about Marge writing the romance novels and imagining them in her head. Sorry, when you are cribbing from romance novels, you're not scraping the bottom of the barrel, you're excavating underneath it.

i have long not been following.. but i think this one is good. saw some episodes and I enjoyed. ;D

Yeah they are no longer trying be family Guy and that has been a big help. Homer seems to care more about other people this season and isn't going out of his way to be a jerk. Also they are sticking to their stories instead of doing lots of Family Guy style cut aways. The show really has gotten much better this is season.

I catch it casually now and then, which is not easy because on regular TV it's sandwiched between so much McFarlane crap. I could cherry pick episodes on Hulu, but Hulu tends to freeze if I go into full screen mode, so I have to watch it on a small window on my computer.

The Simpsons is the only thing i watch on animation domination now that King of the Hill is gone :'( Even bad Simpsons is better then good McFarlen.

I haven't watched since they had the boy band episode that didn't make fun of boy bands.

Yeah, I just got season 11 on DVD with that one. Holy crap was that bad. It did kind of make fun of how artificial and manufactured they were, but still...

Annoyed Grunt! You're right.
I did like the "subliminal, liminal, and superliminal" joke, though.
"What is superliminal?" "Hey, you! Join the Navy!" "Eh, okay."

I'll admit that episode is bad, but there are some good jokes in it.
I like the Lt. L.T. Smash one, and of course, Smellson.
