Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban night before last. Fun movie, good riffing. Love the "Hermione casts the 'give Ron a boner' spell" line.
Tonight I think I'll crack out the Bourne Identity - I've not seen that one in quite a while and my Friday night movie stack is dried up.

I really enjoyed the Bourne Identity trax. Square headed Matt Damon proved to be one of those actors tailor made for riffing abuse. However, so many others have used this as an example of a weak trax that I'm actually scared to re-watch it for fear my opinion of it may change!

Really? I think it's quite solid. After rewatching it Friday I still think so.

Do it! I've watched it many times and love it every time. It's one of my faves (if not my #1 fave)!
Glad to see you liked it. I've been considering watching that one, as I was quite disappointed with the Mike solo one.
Night of the Living Dead - Now this was more like it. Zombies, cemetaries, country bumpkins, bad carpentry, and stereotypes galore....plenty for them to sink their teeth into here and I laughed fairly consistently from beginning to end. They seemed to be having a lot of fun with this classic horror film. A solid trax and easily my favorite of the recent re-do's so far. Still have four to go however.
Carnival of Souls three riffer edition
Just as good if not slightly better than NOTLD. They have lots of fun with the greasy guy, the squirrel-faced landlady, the psychiatrist who isn't a psychiatrist and the whole concept of organ music as a form of actual entertainment....
Thanks for reminding me about that one. I may check it out again. Whenever something wrong happens with the computers at work, I think "Just kick it. My laptop goes down if I look at it wrong. This thing can't be that robust."
Next stop: XXX. A great solo riff I can put on any time too.
IRON MAN
First time seeing this rifftrax and I must say it was hilarious. This is a movie I liked separately, but not so much that I minded seeing it thrashed (i.e. I will never see Star Wars OT or LOTR riffed, or even WIlly Wonka, because I love them too much), so this was lots of fun. Very funny. Any riff that has references to Jeeves and Wooster, Rear Window, and Wallace and Gromit within a few minutes is fine by me. I love making fun of the names, which are sooo ridiculous! Sorry, no favorite lines yet because there's too much to choose from, and it's too new to recall any particular line. But I loved it.
IRON MANSo did you Raiders of the Lost Ark riffed? That was definitely one of their best IMO.

Little Shop of Horrors
My last of the 3 riffer re-dos. I put this one off for a while because I heard it was the weakest of the re-dos and I have to agree. I chuckled here and there but this one didn't do much for me. As others have said, comedies (if you can call it that) just don't seem to lend themselves to riffing all that well. Of all the recent Legend trax, my favorite was NOTLD, with Carnival of Souls a close second.
just got a bunch of shorts and I'm most in love with "Drugs are Like That". Hilarious!!C'mon, man. It's not funny anymore. Gimme my nook! Ahh, spiders!

From what I've seen so far, rifftrax really can't go wrong with anything involving people with silly super powers.Good observation. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any super powers rifftrax that I find mediocre.
STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL
Ohhhhhh the paaaaaaaaaain. I'm still in trauma over Bea Arthur's song, Harvey Korman's humiliations, Luke and Leia's awful makeup, the bad writing and music, the disgusting lower lip of scratchy or itchy or whatever, the evil 70s rock and pop musical numbers, and the evil bad cartoon. And to top it all off, the characters are from the original--in other words, somehow it hurts more that it really is Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, etc etc. But I think the most agonizing part about this movie is the awful circus that's in the first few minutes. "You know Elton John would pay handsomly if only this device were real." Bill's cries of agony mirror my own. And yet, I've seen this rifftrax three times now. WHy do I put myself through such agony?? Because it's hilarious. Best rifftrax ever. Can't imagine watching this without the trax. Thus my hat is off to the Three Amigos and their creative team.
Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull... However, I can't seem to finish this damn thing. Both times I've settled in to watch, something distracts me. I have yet to finish the actual Rifftrax.I have a similar problem. I stopped at the part with the mummy Aztec zombie people jumping out at Indy and LeBoof. Every time I go back to it, I get 3 lines in and just can't garner the interest back to finish it. This has been going on since March. ::)
But I'm also a weirdo who likes to put on the commentary tracks in movies all the time, even if it's my first time watching it. (Cannibal! The Musical is that much funnier for doing so.)You had me up until "...first time watching." I love to watch movies with commentaries (film historian ones are the best; no question). But on your first viewing? What a weirdo. ;)
The house on haunted hill.

The house on haunted hill.
So who's party was it?
I'm still trying to figure out why the cheating wife and the psychiatrist lover didn't find it odd that - off all the people in the world to have there for the party/dare - Hubby just happened to invite him? They never wondered if he was on to them at all?
the DVD RIfftrax SHorts vol 1- "Drugs are Like That" is still the best
Interesting. I think the X-men Riff is one of their top 5.

Well I did really like it, maybe not my top 5, but still really good. They just sounded tired/sad in it a lot, especially Bill. Maybe it's just me?
X-Men 1's riff is easily in my Top 5 and definitely the one I've revisited the most. Perhaps hearing it when it first came out, I couldn't really notice anything different with Bill seeing how it was his first.Interesting. I think the X-men Riff is one of their top 5.

I love the first X men riff. It's in my top ten. The second one was enjoyable too but not quite in the same league. I remember that Bill sounded a little different in this one but it didn't strike me as 'tired', just different. I attributed it to the fact that it was his first rifftrax and he was getting back into the swing of things.
Red DawnAnd why are Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen "all used up" after only a few months of fighting? Why would Leah Thompson's character fall in love with the pilot if they weren't going to do anything with that storyline and he's the least likely character for her to have feelings for anyway?
Good trax. Joel did pretty good, however either he wasn't miked well or he wasn't talking loud enough. There were several times when I couldn't hear him very well. I didn't get a lot of belly laughs from this one but the trax was pretty steady throughout with more than enough amusing moments. I hadn't seen this film since it first came out. God, it really is an awful movie. Not only are we supposed to believe that six high school kids can hold off the entire Russian army, but we get no explanation for what the hell the Russians are doing. Why shoot helpless unarmed civilians the second they get there? Why put their headquarters in a small town in the middle of nowhere? It made less and less sense as it went along.

NOTHING about this movie makes any sense.
Rifftrax Presents: Batman Forever. AWEfrigginSOME!
Let me add Star Wars 1-3, and starting on 4. I had the night off, so it became a Rifftrax marathon.
The Lion KingThis movie is a comedy. Not wholly a comedy... but still a comedy. I can't bring myself to watch it (also prob cuz of my own inner 10 year old). Any time the "no riffing comedies" rule comes up, all (ok... most) the cartoon iriffs need mentioning. It's like I'm the only one who sees the disconnect here. Oh well.
Rifftrax Presents: Batman Forever. AWEfrigginSOME!

I really cant buy this riff on principal, I dont think The Guy should've been involved in anything that he could've used his already big cult following in allowing him to win...keep in mind this is coming from someone that didn't have a riff of his own entered and would highly recommend his Lion King riff....with that being said it probably is really that good.
Island of Dr. Moreau. It was a rather "meh" Rifftrax for me. Next up is Firewall, which my dvd should arrive tomorrow.
I look forward to tomorrow night then.Island of Dr. Moreau. It was a rather "meh" Rifftrax for me. Next up is Firewall, which my dvd should arrive tomorrow.
I really like the Firewall trax. They give it good to Harrison Ford. They haven't ganged up on an actor like that since Joe Don Baker. And, in this film anyway, Harrison Ford deserves everything he gets.

Parts I didn't understand I attributed to something you need to see the other movies for, meaning I will never understand them.
Star Trek VI:The Undiscovered Country- Not as good as the previous Star Trek track, but still very enjoyable. Loved the extended Minnesota accent segment. Good thing Bill pointed out Robert Easton as the judge, that's something you don't want to just pass you by. Glad there's only one more riffed movie, I can't exactly say I'm a fan of Star Trek. Though I haven't seen any of the "good" Star Trek, so who knows.
I forgot to mention those...I had the intention to, but just never did. In a way I want to see the "good" Star Trek, just to see what the big deal is, but I've got a friend that might be able to help out with that.Star Trek VI:The Undiscovered Country- Not as good as the previous Star Trek track, but still very enjoyable. I'm going to guess you aren't looking forward to those two Star Trek New Voyages episodes that Kevin and Bill riffed for Rifftrax Presents. The "good" Star Trek is a bit debatable. I'm sure a Trek fan around here could send you in the right direction if you asked though. If you start warming up to the idea of seeing more Star Trek stuff get riffed, don't worry. There's plenty to choose from in the iRiffs section.

Its actually called "Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2"
well, dangfish, I know how it is when things are talked up so high nothing could be that good. But perhaps now that your expectations are down, the next time you watch it you'll find it funnier.
Weird to see two people from the Sinister Urge--and two of the worst ones, too.
And, near the end, when Leeloo is crying while reading "war" in the W section of the dictionary:
"Wait till you get to Weird Al Yankovic. Then the tears will really start flowing."
I seethed a bit when I heard that and imagined Weird Al confronting Mike about it while recording "Jurassic Park". Which I'm sure didn't actually happen for a myriad of reasons.
Right, which is why I said "...I'm sure didn't actually happen for a myriad of reasons." I really just wondered if Mike woulda picked a different name if he knew he was going to a record a RiffTrax in the future with him. It's still a very funny joke which rang especially hilarious for me cuz I have a friend who detests Weird Al (don't ask). Didn't know that about The Donny & Marie Show. That's great! It's the nicest people who take the jokes the best and it just makes you love 'em even more. And, near the end, when Leeloo is crying while reading "war" in the W section of the dictionary:

I'm sure Al would have taken the joke in stride. Coincidentally, when Weird Al made an appearance on the The Donny and Marie Show, they confronted Al about the bit at the beginning of Achy Breaky Song where he sings, "You can torture me with Donny and Marie." They pretended to be angry at first, but they were really OK with it. Later Donny showed up in Al's White and Nerdy video. I think the only episodes of VH1's Behind The Music that didn't involve excessive drug and alcohol use were the "Weird Al" and "Donny and Marie" shows.

Twilight. First time I saw both the movie and the riff. Great riff, terrible movie. And I consider myself a guy who does just go around and call things that aren't to my taste terrible. I think I'm a guy that gives a lot of leeway to movies, even bad or misguided ones. But this was a deeply bad and incredibly boring movie.....and therefore the Three Musketeer's ripping apart of the film was incredibly satisfying, eh? :)

Star Wars Ep 3: Revenge of the Sith - Always funny revisiting this one. I was surprised how consistently funny this is. I didn't really detect any low points (nor terribly high points), but definitely full of some excellent one-liners. Need to revisit the other prequels soon.

tried to watch EMPIRE STRIKES BACK but it didn't seem to stay synched-----I hate Lucas for re-editing this every ten days. They say the "Special Edition", then say that if you own it on DVD it should work. I bought this set (http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Trilogy-Harrison-Ford/dp/B001EN71DG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1264187685&sr=8-1) and they have synced up for the first 2.
QUESTION: exactly WHICH version of Empire Strikes Back is the RT supposed to be of?

The 2004 cut of the film. It should be one disc 1 of the Limited edition set with the original and special edition version, or on the only disc in the Silver lettering set.
Carnival of Souls - It doesn't help that I've been watching the best Twilight Zones lately, so by comparison, I'm not sure this was a movie. I'm still unclear about what happened. It's like it wanted to be a TZ ep but got lost along the way.
There should not be any synching issues with our riffs. If there were, you would A) see dozens and dozens of posts about it and B) we would not still be around after 3.5 years.

Star Wars Episode IIThe reason why Hayden sucked so bad? Because Lucas is a once-great-but-now-shoddy director. Compare Natalie Portman's acting range and talent to what she delivered in the series. It's the director's job to make a great actor shine. I'm sure they're all very capable actors. Lucas just thought he could direct actors the same way he could direct his special effects people. Pretty good riff considering Bill wasn't there. (He's my favorite). Funniest when they say what I was thinking, like how bad Hayden is (how on earth did he get cast? the other choices must have been terrible!) and how conveniently her outfit gets torn so her bare midriff shows. Funny stuff.
Heck, even Christopher Lee occasionally gave a bad performance in these movies. Listen to his line reading when he first walks in when Obi Wan is captured. The fatal flaw in the whole prequel series is that everyone trusted Lucas to know how to direct a Star Wars movie. I mean, take a look at the fly-on-the-wall documentary on Phantom Menace. The only one to ever question him was the editor, who was basically just pointing out the elephant in the room. But now I'm just regurgitating what that 70min review dude said (but, man, did he hit the nail on the head with that).Heck, even Christopher Lee occasionally gave a bad performance in these movies. I think some actors are more dependant upon the director to give a good performance. Some can be good regardless of what they're in, but some clearly suffer with a bad director.

I haven't seen any other movie with Hayden in it (though I hear Shattered Glass is very good). I've never had a strong opinion about Natalie Portman, until I saw Closer. It's such a dark, dirty and wretched story... but she totally deserved her Oscar nom for that role. She's also quite impressive in Leon: The Professional as his 11-year-old sidekick. So I hafta belive Lucas (and his persistent green screen) has a strong role in their poor performances. Having said all that, I can only imagine Hayden's range is as deep as Robert Pattison's. :DStar Wars Episode IIThe reason why Hayden sucked so bad? I've never been into Natalie Portman either---before Star Wars, that is. After Star Wars I hate her even more.
And I have trouble believing Hayden's awfulness is purely Lucas's fault. He couldn't deliver one single line in the film where I believed him, and that's the actor's fault--i.e. it's not a "good" performance by Ewan McGregor, but I at least believe him sometimes. Plus I've never seen Hayden in anything where I even believed him for a moment. Ugh. Shudder.
Another thought. The originals are fantastic because of post production--the great editing, the relatively innovative and good-for-the-time effects, but especially that great music that makes the film seem bigger, more important, and more expensive than it is. But what saved it in the first place, i.e. the reason the raw footage could be edited into a classic, was the great CASTING. That was his fatal flaw. The other thing, to me, is that he made the originals because he really wanted to, and he made the prequels for the money. Motives matter. And, another thought, the originals are fun and funny, but the prequels take themselves way too seriously. Anyway, those are my theories in a nutshell.Agreed on all points.
Another thought. The originals are fantastic because of post production--the great editing.....
Yikes! What a way to tell someone they're bad at their job... unless, yknow, it was on completely different grounds*.Another thought. The originals are fantastic because of post production--the great editing.....
Lucas admitted as much. And then he divorced her (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0524235/).

Dragon Wars: D war
Well, watched this with a friend last night. I wasn't in the best shape to watch this. Been under the weather and on all kinds of cold medicine, although I got the feeling that being in a drug induced haze may be the only way to watch this film. By the end my friend claimed that he understood most of it, while I didn't have the very first idea of what the heck was going on in any of this movie. I took an instant dislike to the film when it started with a flashback. And then we entered the realm of my ultimate pet peeve: A flashback within a flashback! ( I still haven't forgiven Tim Burton for doing this in Big Tree). The boys kept me laughing enough though. Not much better than those incredibly silly and cheesy scify original films. I was surprised to see so many actors I recognized in this. Hollywood must be feeling the recession too. Can't really rate this one until I've watched it again with a clear head.

The Dark Knight -second viewing
I didn't laugh as much as I did the first time around but this is still a solid trax that doesn't seem to get much love. Never understood the folks who thought it was taboo to riff this. Sure, it's a good film, but any movie with guys in capes, animal masks, and clown makeup should be fair game for riffing. And the ultra dark, depressing tone of the movie makes it even more ripe for ridicule in my book.
I'm going to make a request here:Oh, absolutely!
More Weird Al riffs!!!

Fourthed. Not like 1/4, but +1 more equaling 4.
Beowulf. This one's a sleeper, IMO. Whenever someone wants to try a RT I look for a newish one they've not seen yet or something I see as a no-fail classic, like Raiders of the Lost Ark. Sunday I remembered the B-man an we enjoyed the hell out of it. And it's not a bad movie, cheesy-adventure-wise.

I love the Beowulf riff too. Lots of big laughs and an ideal film for them. Never understood why this one wasn't more popular.
Recently finished The Bourne Identity.
I saw some people didn't much like this one, but I thought it was pretty good. I don't particularly like Matt Damon, and all the square-head comments had me rolling.
Star Wars Holiday SpecialI was trying to remember that quote for the latest LoC but I couldn't remember the wording! And the actual wording is funnier than my lame memory. Haha.
"Elton John would give anything if only this device were real"
Harry Potter and the Sorcerererer's Stone
This is an A quality track. While I may not looove it, it is the guys at their highest quality. See, I wouldn't normally consider HP perfect riffing fodder, but that doesn't stop MK&B from coming up with some incredible riffs. Really, really glad they gave away those Chamber of Secrets trax plus all the hearty recommendations from those of the forum combining into the enticement of me finally getting around to this one. Looking forward to HP2 and on. Btw, Harry Potter and Whatever the Last One Was Released On DVD happens to be imo perfect riffing fodder. I just hope they get around to it one day (as I'm sure has been mentioned ad nauseum).
Rest of my thoughts of this riff found in this thread (http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php/topic,6250.msg544236.html#msg544236). Also, I'm trying to figure out a couple of these riffs (http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php/topic,17872.msg544239.html#msg544239). Anyone know?
Fantastic Four - What a great Rifftrax. Just recently bought this movie for the Riff because I found it on sale. Really great throughout (although I think the sequel is a little better Rifftrax). The movie... I never thought anything could make me hate Invisible Woman more than the comics, but they succeeded. I also have to say that while Johnny Storm is kind of abnoxious, he is still the best part of this movie. He enjoys being a superhero, and wants to get out and do things with it instead of the other three emo idiots. The reason he comes off as douchy is because he (and all the other characters) are written so poorly. Had his character been written better, he would have been charming and much more fun. As it is, he's still fun, but mainly in that he is trying to act like how we would act if given incredible powers. I certainly didn't hate him like the riffers seem to.
"Oh, God. What has he been doing?!"

I'm with you all the way. I love both of these trax, the first one in particular. I remember some criticized the toilet jokes. You have to admit, though, that machine in Reed's lab sure did look like a giant Porta-john!

This was not only Bill's first RiffTrax, but the first time anyone co-riffed with Mike on a RiffTrax. The quiet voices is just them acclimating to this newfound thing. ;)

Enjoyable. I really like this one, although it was a little funnier the first time around. A few lulls, but pretty strong most of the way. I've said it before but I'll say it again......they can't go wrong with films about people will silly superpowers. That is a genre that I hope they never give up riffing on. I notice this trax has a slightly more intimate feel than the others. This is due partially to the fact that it is a two person riff, as well as the lower voices. Maybe it's just me but Mike and Bill seem to be talking quieter on this riff than any of the others. Did anybody else notice that?

::checks release dates:: Whoa, you're right. Ha, had a mixed-up memory there. Prob something to do with revisiting X-Men more than STV. Then I my only guess is that it was Bill getting used to it seeing as how it was his first? Actually, I believe this was their second co-riffing effort. The first co-riff to be released was Star Trek V and that doesn't have the low voice thing. Maybe they recorded X-Men first? No idea. I just thought it was a little odd because I never noticed their voices that low on any other rifftrax.
Had a RiffTrax-a-palooza at my house this weekend. Twilight went in at 7pm and New Moon at 10-ish, with some shorts in between. About a dozen people showed up, more than half of whom had never seen a RT before. I spent most of the night on grill duty (many, many kabobs) but a good time was had by all, much food and booze was consumed, and many laughs were had.Dammit I'd love to have one of those (Rifftrax party, though kabobs are good too), or go to one. I hardly know anybody around here who knows what it is, and they don't live close.

FINALLY got around to Titanic. I was never specifically avoiding it, but for some reason this one and Matrix Revolutions are the 2 I'd never quite got around to.
Celine Dion was right about one thing. It does go on and on...
Inspired by receiving my copy of the newly released complete score from the movie (which is awesome in its own right), revisited Independence Day. What a great rifftrax. I really am a sucker for the riffs where the guys are really giggly throughout (for some reason, hearing them crack each other up makes me laugh more myself), and they're definitely that in this one. Especially love Kevin's reactions - first to Mike's "It looks like you're uploading a virus. Would you like some help with that?" and then his recoiling-in-horror moment to Bill's "And it was Rachel Dratch in a thong" at the end.Yeah, I love it when they make each other laugh. It just up the feeling of watchhing the movie with your friends.
EDIT: Oh yeah - and according to wikipedia, there's an unconfirmed rumour that Will Smith's signed on for Independence Day 2 and Independence Day 3, to be filmed at the same time in the next year or two. One can only hope...
Transformers. Better the 2nd time. Quite hilarious. I especially love this: "So the message of this film is 'vroom vroom badow.'" Brilliant and fitting of any Michael bay film.HA! I don't remember much from that 'trax (haven't watched it since it came out), but I totally remember that being my favorite line. ;D
New Moon and Harry Potter 4 again. Hilarious both. Favorite line from Harry Potter 4 is "I think it only fair to his memory that you know the true manner of Cedric's death: he was killed by a chubby buck toothed man holding an evil baby."I love that line, too. Especially since Dumbledore then says he was killed by Voldemort, which he wasn't.

To be fair, he was killed on Voldemort's orders so I don't think it would be wrong to say that Voldemort killed him even though he didn't pull the trigger (or point the wand in this case).
Ghost RiderI loved the Tron one, but apparently that was just me.
Really behind on my rifftrax presents so I thought I would finally delve into some of these trax by unknown riffers (unknown to me anyway).
My first experience with Blame Society. I was not impressed. I chuckled maybe three times through the whole trax. This one makes me hesitant to try Batman Forever or Tron or any of the other non Kevin & Mike presents trax. Except for Cole and Janet. Have only seen their first one so far (Dirty Dancing) but was very impressed and am looking forward to their others. Maybe I'll stick with their riffs for now until I work up the nerve to try another unknown commodity.
or any of the other non Kevin & Mike presents trax.Oh...you didn't. Try his Planet of the Apes one sometime.
Ghost RiderI don't care for the Blame Society riffs either, but you should know that they are very different in style than the other Rifftrax Presents. Batman Forever in particular is good, as it is done by the That Guy With The Glasses guys (Nostalgia Critic, etc) who are hilarious.

okay, maybe Ghost Rider was the wrong one to start with. Will give Batman Forever a shot and maybe give Blame Society one more shot with Running Man.Running Man has lots and lots of puns, Arnold style one liners and many riffs using an Arnold impression. If that sounds good to you, give it a shot.
Just finished Batman Forever. I enjoyed it quite a bit more than Ghost Rider. Half the jokes fell flat for me but the other half were clever and had me laughing. Not a home run for me but a solid double. This 'guy with the glasses' group has potential and I would definitely check out another of their riffs if they pop up on RT presents again. They riffed The Lion King before they did Batman Forever for Rifftrax Presents. I really liked that one too.
I loved the Tron one, but apparently that was just me.
Glory.I loved the Tron one, but apparently that was just me.
I can't say it's a "most favorite" but I did like that one very much. Movie was an excellent target.
Last one I watched was Goblet of Fire and it's the first Harry Potter movie that I'd see before seeing it riffed. And I remember having a lot of the same questions when I first saw it that they bring up - "..and they're making these kids go through this year long Olympics knock-off of Death because...?"
Maybe it's the overload of nerdiness that makes me like it so much. And now that I've spend my night-morning watching E3 press conferences and listening to Jonathan Coultan, I think I might just watch it before I fall asleep.I loved the Tron one, but apparently that was just me.

Glory.
Revenge of the SithThe "table turning him over face first into a pie" riff is probably my favorite one in that. Glorious, just glorious.
Okay. I have to retract my statement in the above post about Empire being my favorite Star Wars riff. I had forgotten how kick-ass this rifftrax was. I watched it last night with a friend (and obsessed Star Wars nut) and we both laughed our butts off the whole two plus hours. Usually I find a few dead spots with films of this length but this one is remarkably consistent with strong riffs from beginning to end. This is now in my top ten.
I'd like to see the Chad Vader guys put that one into action. That'd probably be a youtube hit along the lines of unmasked darth playing the harmonica.Because it's my favorite Star Wars video on the entire internet:
Avatar. Hoooooly crap. 73 hours of laughs, and just when I thought my diaphragm couldn't take any more punishment, Disembaudio starts singing over the credits. I woke up two hours later in a hospital bed. :D :D :DThat's all you got, bitch?
It came out in '02, a year after I graduated high school, but it reminded me that when I WAS in high school, Brittney was kinda cute. You know, before she became all openly scuzzy and gross.Yeah, I mean just look at this slut!
I'm sure even back then the dark, perilous realm of the damned that lie betwixt her thighs was riddled with syphilis, the clap, and three different STDs that were found to exist only within her.
It was just less obvious when I was a teenager.
The 3-riffer version of Night of the Living Dead...
Funny, funny riffs....
Kind of odd that with three people talking instead of just Mike, you can hear more of the dialogue in this version.... Probably the drink recipes. ;)

I'm fairly certain I know this person.
I finally got and watched Twilight a few nights ago. Pretty funny.Don't skip the song when the borther and sister are auditioning, the riff of their song medley is the best part of the Rifftrax.
I'm trying to watch HS musical now, but....holy fucking shit is this awful. The music is like my soul being raped. I think I may have to skip the songs if I'm going to get through this.

I'll have to check out GI Joe though. I've been getting into iRiffs a lot recently. Also, thanks for the banner in your sig. I was a big time gamer back in the day, so I'll have to try and come up with something for that list.
Battlefield Earth.
There is something to be said for commitment, whether it's the director's commitment to Dutch Tilts and center wipes, the screenwriter's commitment to the phrase "Rat Brain", the art department's commitment to embarrasingly awful alien costume designs, or Travolta's commitment a performance that was so incompetent that it might well make Tor Johnson blush, but I haven't seen such commitment to a doomed enterprise since I asked my ex to marry me.
So, this is the first time I ever saw the movie, and I'm thankful that I didn't watch it without the Rifftrax. Overall, I think it was a very competent Rifftrax. I don't think it will be in the Top 10, but it was solid and funny. There were times with the awfulness of the movie got past them, but I can hardly blame them for it. This movie sucked worse than the book, which I read as a teenager and hated.
My favorite moment was the Disembaudio laugh track. It came at the perfect time.

My first Rifftrax. Still one of my all time favorites. I haven't seen it in a while, and now I'm tempted to load it up.
"He's in a Travolta induced fugue state!"
I attempted to read this book about a year ago. I thought the idea behind it was actually kind of interesting (And if you don't know, the movie actually only covers the first half of the book. They planned on making a sequel). I gave up about three chapters in. I'll give it this much: what I did read was, in fact, better than the movie. However, that's not saying much. To quote (probably more like paraphrase, since it's been a while) Bill:
"So the guy who wrote this founded a major religion with millions of adherents. There's no joke there, I'm just pointing it out."
The sad thing is, Barry Pepper is actually a decent actor. He was in the True Grit remake.
Yeah, I just finished watching Setting Up a Room for about the tenth time, and I agree with you Rattrap007. God, that was funny. I think that's the best thing they've released since Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny.

I finally got around to the Riff for "The Happening".Try the Quiptracks for The Happening. I found it to be funnier.
I saw the movie at the theater and I didn't like it. However, I forgot over time just how bad it really is. I can't say that this riff will ever be a favorite. There's good stuff in the riff, but the movie... I mean, my God, the thing is just BAD.
I mean, a thread could be created about which movie has the least subtle environmental message: "The Happening" or "Birdemic".
Crater lake monster. Thanks for reminding me of this one. Watched it again last night. Loved it.

That's what I think when I watch Birdemic and movies of it's ilk... That something can still be made, in this day and age, that is so completely awful and delightfully unaware of it's awfulness is so wonderfully entertaining in it's own right that it just makes me all warm and fuzzy. The world needs more folks like this insane shithead that made Birdemic and a lot less recycled corporate paint-by-numbers CGI 3D crap from the major studios. If nothing else, and you couldn't imagine ever watching it unriffed, they at least provide glorious amounts of riff fuel... and I enjoy them quite a bit more than circling the bottom of the barrel on the 3rd or 5th movie of some big budget franchise... when the good jokes from the first installment are completely bludgeoned and begging for mercy.
oh, and birdshit? that actually makes a bit more sense... doesn't explain the flesh burning or death though.
No, but I figure birds that can explode when they run into things can probably also produce acidic shit.
I must say that I both love and hate Rifftrax. ;D They have made me actually watch and enjoy those wretched "Twilight" movies. I can't believe Rifftrax is constantly able to take the festering turds coming out of Hollywood and turn them into diamonds. Rifftrax is the only way to keep up with the Hollywood crap and not have your head implode. I absolutely love your "Twilight" riffs and have shown them to friends with great response. My personal favorite riff from"Breaking Dawn": "Another rejection from a college that requires shirts."Yes, one one hand they make us laugh, and on the other they make us watch crap like Twilight and the Star Wars Holiday Special. It's an abusive relationship.
I also very much enjoy the "Harry Potter" riffs. "Chamber of Secrets" is one of the funniest riffs ever. I had to pause it several times because I was laughing so hard I couldn't breath. I still haven't watched all of "Half-Blood Prince" for the same reason. The riff "Harry Potter and his elderly gentlemen friends" makes me almost pee my pants. Keep up the great work.
I just finished watching..........................Yep!, I did the same. This was my first Riff, and like you, I missed most of it. I remixed, rewatched, and re-enjoyed, where it all started. It holds up VERY well. It will always be one of my Fav's.
Roadhouse. I'm going trough the entire RT catalog and reauthoring them all, in order of their release. It's been quite a few years since we've visited the RT 'Holy Grail'. My old mix was lousy...Mike's solo commentary wasn't audible in many sections where the movie's music was loud. Hearing it again with the new and improved mix made for a fun filled evening with friends and family. Every fan of RT needs to own this one. Great stuff!! :D
Roadhouse really is a great riff.
Last night I finally watched the Karate Kid III riff. It really is quite good and it's a shame it sold so badly. My favorite thing about it was how intertextual it was with other RTs--there are riffs on Birdemic, the Room, the Happening, and others in the movie, so it's great for diehard RT fans. Plus, the villain is so comical and Ralph is so...androgynous? that these make for good comedy.
Just finished my latest shorts collection Shorts a Poppin.
Molly Grows up is probably one of my favorite shorts, hilarious. I remember watching films like this in school. They all talked about your period like it was such a big deal, which I guess at the time it was. Especially love the part about things you should only do moderately. And about not swimming, you might get a chill.
"So I can dance, but I can only square dance moderately?"
Still my favorite riff yet. So Mst season eight. So many great jokes. A classic.
That's a powerful endorsement. I think I need to see this one.
Joy Ride was a fun short but the riffing was just so so.
Joy Ride was a fun short but the riffing was just so so.
I thought the riffing was pretty good in that. And what a strange short, most lame scare film ever, it pretty much says stealing a car is a lot of fun, just avoid the crash at the end.

This may well be their best Riff ever. I've noticed over in the "The Room" board that people either loved or hated the Disembaudio bits during the sex scenes. I loved them. The running joke that, every time there was a sex scene, someone's life would be completely destroyed. Just cracked me up.
Bloody Pit of Horror. Bloody hell, absolutely loved the sleazy movie. I wish I could make the oiling the body in the front of the Castro District mirror scene leave my already scarred memory, but-- Did this film have a bloody hell of a subtext or what? Wow. (Afterward I watched the 1932 Island of Lost Souls which, by coincidence, seemed to have a lot of the same I love my male self, hate women, subtext as well).
The riffing was dynamite in parts, a little slow in others. Then again, it might just be The Summer Head Cold that Would Not Go Away....

Has anyone seen the ICWXP episode and the Rifftrax? I'm just curious to see how they stack up against each other.

Have not seen it. I don't know what Iriffs are good quality. Is there a thread that might point one to the best ones?
Watched Cloverfield last night.I loved Disembaudio's canned musical outro following the last line. It kinda surprised me when I watched it recently, because I hadn't seen it in a while. It really wakes you up to the fact that there is no soundtrack music. I so hate found footage movies...
The first half was very funny but by the end I felt our intrepid riffers were pretty worn out shouting over all the "action" and I was ready for it to end too.
Watched Cloverfield last night.Haven't watched this one in a while, but I remember being impressed that they were able to do so well riffing over the WAAAAY too long isipid party before the creature attack.

I didn't pay much attention to this movie when it came out so I was a little surprised to find it such an old fashioned monster movie, full of every cliche in the book. The main characters were insufferable. I haven't wanted to see the main characters die in a movie since Nightmare at....uh, ok that was only a week ago.
And why weren't there at least some hot girls in it? I mean, come on! I watched Fiend without a Face the night before and now that one has a hottie in it.

I watched Casino Royalle earlier today. I really like this riff.
You know, in the three riffers, Bill and Kevin play off of each other a lot, so this riff really gives you a chance to see the comedic chemistry that Mike and Kevin can have with each other.
The "Hi-Def/$11,000" jokes still crack me up for some reason.
We just finished watching Mutant, and it was pretty funny. The first half, where they consistently established the utter horror that is Wings Hauser was pretty hilarious.
The Artisan Shorts DVD,
Favorite is Using the Calendar. The Jackson Brown lookalike cracks me up.

And the girl with the pigtails looks like she just walked off the set of Behind the Green Door.
Glitter. The best riff by far is still Mike singing the chorus. That, and all the different types of drugs her mom is asking her for at the end.
Awesome.

Loved the drug scene (classic moment indeed) but Mike singing which chorus? It seemed like he sang more than once.I was referring to the scene when they are in the recording booth. Mike sings the chorus BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY! BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY! BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY!

I can't believe that Mary Jo knew the way that Mike was gonna belt that one out. She lost it too. Probably in my top 5 Rifftrax moments ever.

And now I suddenly feel the need to get that one. I love Mary Jo, but I was afraid to tread into such girly territory.
I even survived with my manhood intact.
Cool As Ice.........HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Cool as Ice make me embarrassed to be a kid of the 90's
The HappeningTry the Quiptracks riff of this. It's hilarious too.
Depending on your perspective, it's either a shitty A-movie or a decent B-movie. Obviously it's not very good, but methinks a decent slab of the hate it got at the time was just M.Night bandwagon bashing. Had it been done by some unknown writer/director, it would have came and went.. just another mediocre suspense movie... While the general construction of the thing does make for perfect riff fodder, I don't think the movie itself is Razzie worthy or anything.
As for the riff, it comes right out of the gate hitting on all cylinders... and the first hour of the riff is excellent. Plenty of reaction shots and relatively low amounts of dialog gives the guys plenty of time to deliver the goods. Like so many great second bananas littered throughout the MST3K / Rifftrax catalog, John Leguizamo brings laughs outside of all relation to his screentime.... The big belly laugh factor was probably a bit low, but the consistently chuckling factor was high. I watched it in a hospital waiting room and had a couple of audible snorts here and there. The final third or so is where things get a bit dull. Once the script has laid all the cards on the table and little new meat is thrown to the wolves, the riff fills lots of time with Walhberg sucks / M.Night sucks boilerplate. Overall, a very solid effort.
Star Trek: Generations
This is a really good one. I was surprised how many times I still laugh out loud at what Mike and Kevin called, "The dumbest-assed Star Trek movie ever."Spoiler (click to show/hide)
But what a perfect movie for riffing.
House on Haunted Hill - I was a bit disappointed in this one. A few chuckles here and there but no real LOL moments. So many of the jokes were focused on the Big Valley guy and most of those backfired for me. Plus, the trio didn't seem as into it as usual. One of the weaker trax.
I actually haven't watched any of those pre-rifftrax-rifftrax. Must do it some day.
Oh okay, those are still Rifftrax. I think they aren't as good as most of the newer ones though.

Eh only retroactively, and of course some were replaced later on by 3 man riffs.
Swamp of Ravens.
Holy Moly, seriously what was that film. It was pretty decent riff. But given the genuinely grotesque and disturbing nature of the imagery, it's hard to recommend it to everyone. I mean was that a real autopsy?
Weird, weird stuff.
I finally watched Ravens too, and didn't really like the riff. Then I watched Kingdom of the Spiders and really liked it. I've noticed that a lot of the really weird old movies they do tend to have (IMO) poor riffs. I feel like they do better with "better made" movies.
Also, can I get a gif of Shatner catching and immediately throwing the child? That got a pretty big laugh out of me.

I asked the same thing here. It turns out that, yes, that was a real autopsy. Every time I see that scene I imagine a family member seeing it and being horrified to see their dead relative sprawled out on a table in a horrible, foreign, horror, B-movie.

One of the people I was watching with left at that point. The movie is kinda gross anyway, but that pushed them over their limit.

Someone on the forums told me, weather or not it's a fact is another question. Feel free to look through my posts.
This is kind of cheating, as I haven't finished watching it yet, but my latest is Glitter.
I've been trying to get through it for about 24 hours. It's just SO dull. And my God, that singing! I love the way Mike makes fun of the singing, as it perfectly represents my views on that style of singing (Mariah Carrie and the like). I concede, she and others like her have beautiful voices and are very talented. But, it's the style of singing that makes me ill.
Yes, it's the whacky world of modern pop music, and the tribulations of getting ripped off and abused by the music industry. Can't wait (cough, cough!) to see if she'll be OK, and find true love. Oh, how I long for Coleman Francis.

One of my top ten trax. Absolutely hilarious.
They got me drinking hand, and me drinking hand!
Daredevil
Boy' he's going through Jennifers like cheap sneakers.
This is a pretty special one, since it was the first time all 3 guys were together on a Rifftrax! And it's actually a lot of fun too. It's certainly a mini time capsule. In regards to notable relationships (Bennifer) and how Ben is viewed as an actor.
Highly recommended.
This is how she works out her frustration against basmati rice

Wow. I hate to admit it, but I only discovered Rifftrax a few years ago. My first purchase here was in 2011!
And I have obviously NOT been watching them in chronological order. In fact, Mike "busted" me, when I asked him about either, "sharpie a wang on the forehead," or, "Bacon loving," or some other running gag, that I can't recall Regardless of the subject his busted me on, his comment was, "We haven't done that in two years."
That was the first clue I was watching out of order, and am still basically a noob to Rifftrax, even though I've made 150 purchases here.
What I am getting at is, I thought Daredevil was a fairly NEW release. It was the first with all three riffers? Wow!
So, after my upcoming RoninFoxTrax of Star Trek: TMP, I'n going to watch Daredevil.
My apologies for not paying attention and other noob behavior. On the other hand, the only way to de-ignorize myself is by learning. And that, I can do.
Thanks, Bathtub! :D
*I'm a fan of Led Zeppelin but saying Diddy's Come With Me is bad using 'sample lyrics' like uh huh uh huh in the blurb when Plant will happily just repeat the word baby for 2 or 3 minutes seemed like a reach.
GodzillaTry the Quiptracks riff, it's much better. Since iRiffs is down, you can get it on their www.theootl.com site.
I think this is the first MP3 riff I've watched in 3-4 years, looking though the archive I was pretty confident I could pick the jokes that would be beaten into the ground (silly names in Hunger Games, Hawkeye in Avengers, etc, etc) but I crossed my fingers they'd gotten over the 'hey, this movie is bad' stuff that made me turn off the prequel riffs.
Happily I was right, the Toho/Toto/Toto bit was inspired and if anything they ignored the obviously dated CGI to run with the movie itself, the Ebert jokes in the movie and in the riff worked for me since I thought he was awful, Gobbledy Gooker reference, downplaying people actually saying 'go go go'. PAAAAAAAACKERS & my balls are on fire.

Did they actually say "sample lyrics"? I thought they said "sampling Led Zeppelin"? So I assumed they were talking about the instrumental part. Or was there more than one riff about that and I missed the other one?
Godzilla was my most recent watch. About a week ago now.If you liked the Rifftrax, you'll love the Quiptracks.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm sure I will watch it many, many times.
Why do all of the women in this movie act like he's Channing Tatum?!
The Riff made the movie entertaining. That is a real achievement.
I was surprised he did Drag Me To Hell.Me too, actually.
Drag me to Hell is much more of a good campy horror flick, where as Saw is basically gore/torture porn.As much as I hate the term "torture porn" (because it is coined by people who have NO IDEA what they are talking about), I do agree. It is definitely in the modern era of realistic gore for the sake of grossing out the audience, at the expense of plot.
Santa Claus and the Ice Cream Bunny.
Now I am very annoyed at a lot of you and must shower for a couple of hours.
Just checked out The Bride and the Beast. That one's a weird one...
I agree, the Live riff was good. But it's essentially a lateral move from the episode. Which is why I've always said, if they are going to re-riff movies from MST3K they should be doing ones from KTMA and Season 1.
Rifftrax Live: Manos
A nice new take on the old classic. The audience laughter adds to the experience and the two shorts included were both a lot of fun as well. You really can't go wrong riffing Manos...
I actually have a lot of respect for Williams as a composer... But, anyway... I just finished watching:
Anaconda
This riff is honestly one of their best. I had more laugh-out-loud moments that Godzilla and TMNT combined. I had forgotten how truly bad this movie was, but the guys did an amazing job with it. Really surprising, given it was a stretch goal, and kind of the afterthought of last year's Kickstarter.
Disembaudio's intro was so awesome. Seriously, guys, let the little... whatever he is... out of the closet every once in a while.
I really loved their riffs on the many continuity errors. These aren't usually ver funny, but they did great.
Also, Bill's Owen Wilson impression. "It's just comm(bubble-bubble)on sen(bubble-bubble)se..."
Between this and The Haunting remake, two terrible films almost completely redeemed by seeing Owen Wilson get brutally killed.

That's a good one. "If you hired Normal Al, you wouldn't have these problems."Yeah, they had great chemistry together.
Julie and Jack. To be honest, there's actually a decent movie in there somewhere. The riff was really funny though. :D

:D
I've been watching through all the Marry Jo and Bridget shorts again. I really hope they get a feature length Riff soon.Me too. They will be in the reunion show, too.
Titanic
Everything leading up to the ship sinking was riffing gold. Watching events unfold and listening to jokes after the collision with the iceberg was tough to sit through.
If you haven't seen it yet, definitely get Guy From Harlem.
And now I find myself with a $100 gift card to use during the next sale - any recommendations for more VoDs? I have all the DVDs, and some of the popular ones like Megaforce and Cool as Ice. I like cheesy horror and action, especially 70s/80s.
Guy From Harlem is absolutely essential.

Yay! I was beginning to think it was the live show that made me like Mothra. So many board members aren't into it, but it's one of my favorite live shows. Haven't witnessed it in MP3 form, though.

I just finished watching The Room with with 2016 rifftrack. The movie is terrible, but it's still not the worst movie I ever saw (That would be Black Shampoo)! As bad as The Room is, at least it looks like something you'd see in theaters.
Jurassic World.
I hadn't seen the movie, because I knew it would be, well, a lot like what it was. Really cliched characters, a forced as hell romance, and I'm not proud of this but I really wanted to punch that younger brother. Like, a lot and really hard.
Most people found Force Awakens to be derivative, but it could've easily been THIS!
The Rifftrax was really funny, though, it's the only reason I would've watched this movie.
Yeah, me too. I hated that bit in the movie! They were trying to show him as being a jerk for insulting her shoes, and her as strong an capable because she defied him. YOU CAN'T WALK IN MUD WITH HEELS! It just doesn't work, regardless of how "strong and independent" you are!Jurassic World.

In Jurassic World, all I could think about through the second half of the movie was "How the hell is she running so much in those high heels?"

Goddammit, this movie was A.W.E.S.O.M.E.!!!!! Well, to be perfectly frank, the movie was terrible, but so riffable that with the riffs it was extremely entertaining. This is up there with "The Room (2016 Live Riff)", "The Wizard", and "Mothra" as one of Rifftrax's best. If MST3K had done this, it would have been a classic that was up there with Pod People and The Final Sacrifice.
Patriotism, but I can't remember which movie Mike years later used the quote:
"If we learn to care for others, to respect others we'll learn how to care for, to respect our country."
It's so familiar as I have the twitch stream running all day....

I don't know if I'd call it "Intentionally bad" so much as it was going for a certain aesthetic that might be appealing to a certain type of viewer. And that viewer doesn't exist in this case.Yeah, Hobgoblins is going for some kind of a sleazy vibe, with knockoff Gremlins. Which is why I enjoy the movie itself so much because I find failed attempts at sleaze hilarious.
I don't like naming movies like Hobgoblins as the "Worst movie ever" because it was intentionally bad.
That said, I really hope Rifftrax/Mst3k tackles Hobgoblins 2.

Sons of Hercules. Really fun and underrated, has a lot of the feel of an old MST ep. Worth it for the goofy song riffs alone. My problem with that one was video quality- there are much better versions of the movie available, but the Rifftrax release looked like a 50th generation VHS copy. Had started it several times before making it all the way through.
Replica. Nguyen's most incoherent work yet?, Hard to say since none of them really are.Replica was actually his second movie.
...
Does he have no friends that saw his first two movies, and when he announced he was going for a third, they couldn't talk him down?
Haven't seen Birdemic 2 (his 4th and last-of of today-movie) as everything I've read about it is that everyone involved including Nguyen understands it's bad and it was made with to be intentionally bad, so that kind of kills the vibe.
I'd never checked out Retro Puppet Master before, and it was on Amazon Prime, so we took the plunge. That is a weird movie. It's weird how they never made it clear where the puppets were in relation to anything else. Like if they were stop-motion or something I could see why they'd film them separately, but they're PUPPETS. Like- Especially simple puppets. So they could be puppeteered, one assumes. That is assuming competence. Which Charles Band has increasingly less of.
...but I really wish that we'd get more "just the jokes" of bad movies like this instead of just Star Wars movies.
Sketchfest 2019
Good show, but where was Mike? Liked that Frank and Trace got time to do three straight shorts and they were all new to me shorts, but it was kind of Frank on his own as Trace's voice was shot and half the time when he did riff you couldn't understand him. Sean Thomason filled in for Mary Jo with Bridget and did fine but seemed to lack some confidence that he had no reason to lack. Despite my apparent criticisms, enjoyed it more than some of the other Sketchfests and still really glad they release these as the chances of me ever going to one live are slim to none.

I had to put on earbuds in order to catch what Trace was saying, it really helped. And man the audience just lost it over the Cautious Twins. Very funny work. I thought Janet and Cole were hilarious too. Despite missing some MVPs (and 1 losing his voice) this was a goodie.
I watched She Demons
It's another classic from B&MJ. And another goodie from Richard E. Cunha. Between this and Missile to the Moon I think Rifftrax needs to do more Cunha. Frankenstein's Daughter cries out for a riffing.
Oblivion and Replica - classic Rifftrax. The movies were hilarious on their own, the riffing adds But George - sweet George Takei... the hell? I can give a pass to the Replica non-actors acting. But you're a seasoned professional, capable of giving a solid performance (see that Twilight Zone ep for one). Man, you should know better. In George's defense, an actor often needs a talented director to bring out that performance. Samuel L. Jackson and Natalie Portman are great actors, but you wouldn't think so if you only saw them in the prequels.

Yor: Hunter From The Future
This was really weird. Without spoiling much, It's as if Chekhov said one should both introduce and use the gun in Act III rather than introduce the gun in Act I and use it in Act III. It was a really bad movie, but bad in an entertaining way and the riffs were really funny. This is the kind of Rifftrax I live for!
Wait, wait, wait, wait...there's MORE of this out there?!Yor: Hunter From The FutureAnyway, it's disjointed because it was actually a TV series in Brazil, and they cut *a ton* out of the movie consolidation. For instance Reb and the hot female lead were married around when they hit the beach.
Wait, wait, wait, wait...there's MORE of this out there?!
Fun fact: there was supposed to be a musical number in the beginning explaining Mr. Top (more explicitly God) as he makes the Earth or animals or some crap but it was a complete disaster and they couldn't finish shooting.Wait...something in that was MORE of a disaster than everything they did complete filming on?!
The film originally began with a sequence in which Mr. Topps (aka God) creates the world. He sings the song "Creation" and brings various creatures including Alphie to life, then he sings a song with Mr. Boogalow (aka The Devil), who ultimately falls into a stream and disappears. Live animals, humans, puppets and people in costumes filled a small set. Mishaps abounded as a tiger got loose, the elephants got their trunks stuck in set pieces, people wearing a brontosaurus costume collapsed from the heat, and the terrain and restrictive size of the set proved difficult for the actors to dance through and cameras to maneuver. The omission of this disastrous shoot makes the biblical ending of the movie seem completely random.
Just caught Ghost House for the first time on the Twitch channel.
I know if people in horror movies made good decisions, we wouldn't have horror movies, but the movie does not give one compelling reason at all why anyone thinks it's a good idea to go back in there (Or initially go in there, come to think of it). There's a car breaking down that keeps them in the vicinity of the haunted house, but no motivation at all to go back into the murder-house.
Going down my list, I watched Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare. At first I was like, "Why are they doing this? There's nothing but sex scenes and bad rock performances!" And then I saw the last 10 minutes and it all made sense.
Wait...does that mean that you did find female metal spiked bikini bottoms?
Also, male metal spiked bikini bottoms, I couldn't find any for sale when I was joking about it with the guys I was watching it with. I really was curious as to how much they went for.

Kids Guide to the Internet-Short-Riffed by Connor and SeanOnly a matter of time before this gets riffed...
I laughed more during this 20 minute short then I've laughed during a riff in a long time. Admittedly half the laughs were at the short itself and not the riffs, but almost all the riffs were funny. Good job by Connor and Sean.
Ice Cream Man
I still don't know who the intended audience for this movie was. Kids? Teens? Adults? I think every single one of those demographics would be turned off from this movie one way or another. I know I was certainly turned off, and I love bad kids movies such as Problem Child 2! So this one didn't do it for me. It didn't even do a good job turning me off of ice cream, I still crave that stuff.
I need to watch this one. My absolute favorite type of Rifftrax are ones where the movie has no idea who the audience is. (See: Rollergator)
I have just come to the realization that the narrator of the Thumbelina segment of Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny and the narrator of Fun in Balloonland are one and the same. That is a fascinating career trajectory.
Caught Deadly Prey the other night on Twitch. We were just going to watch while we ate dinner and then get ready for bed, but we watched, transfixed, as one cliché after another was loosely threaded together into something kind of like a narrative. It's something to behold,
Velvet Smooth
The first riff I rate a classic in a while. The blaxploitation genre hasn't been mined sufficiently yet, so this felt as fresh as the Man from Harlem (though I'm not so sure if Velvet herself was fresh). Some really great riffs from the genre and culture of that time in particular. Plus the amateurishness really gave them a lot to riff.
Plus there was a great Replacements riff that worked on two levels, referencing a video and a different song than in the video.
Great callbacks too. Brute Man was in there and plenty of Rifftrax refs.
My God what a stinger it would be that guy kicking into the box or whatever

Maniac?
Fun In Balloon Land, that "guessing game" at the end always kills me.
Checked out Beyond Christmas and was pleased to find a somewhat charming little Christmas movie (that kinda forgets about Christmas halfway through). It's not a masterpiece or anything, but it's a sweetly sincere, kinda corny movie. Bridget and Mary Jo do a wonderful job riffing it, too.
