Title: X-Men: Noir
Post by: Rude on December 11, 2008, 11:40:34 AM

This new series reimagines the X-Men as 1930s underworld gangster types. Sounds kinda' weak and cliche, i know. But the first issue was actually pretty good and it looks promising. Apparently it's only a four issue run, but i'd recommend picking it up if you see a copy. Waiting for the TPB is definitely an option though, as i'm sure it will be released immediately after the series wraps up.

Heh, heh... spell check recommends "Semen" for "X-Men." <giggle>

I'm looking forward to some of the other noir series to come out, but I'm hoping that it's not all "detectives".  Some people forget that noir is a style and can also include "people in bad situations.  I don't know if they have a Daredevil one planned, but I sort of hope it's a super-powerless story the blind lawyer (who is not moonlighting as a super-hero) gets caught up with a Gangster's moll.

Also, I obviously had some ulterior motive to responding to this:
