Title: 300 trailer
Post by: Kiiml on December 12, 2006, 07:07:29 PM
For anyone who's seen the trailer for the movie 300 (coming out next year), I've been wondering whose music is featured on it. It might be from the movie itself, or it might be from an existing artist. If anybody recognized the background music, I'd like to know where it comes from.

If it's the same trailer I've seen, that's Nine Inch Nails' "Just Like You Imagined" from the album The Fragile.

God, I hope that's not actually from the soundtrack. As I said elsewhere, modern music and period movies could work in theory, but they rarely do.

I agree that modern music can be in a historical movie, but like you said, it's easy for the director or composer to screw it up if they're not careful.

Thank you Steve-o, that's the exact song

I think if Frank Miller is as involved in that movie as he was in Sin City the movie should be fine.

He wasn't nearly as involved in 300. Robert Rodriguez officially made Frank co-director on Sin City, pissing off the director's guild. Zak Snyder offered a similar, DGA-approved, situation to Frank, but he was too busy working on Sin City 2, or whatever they're calling it.
