Title: Need help figuring out the name of a movie
Post by: derby on December 09, 2006, 02:19:06 PM
So, I saw this one movie with this one guy when i was a kid....

no but really, there is this movie that I haven't seen in ages and I can't remember the name of it.  The premise is that two families swap cars and both get destroyed.  The only scene I remember from the movie is one of the final ones: one guy brings his borrowed car back all smashed up on the back of a truck, and the other family opens their garage door to show that they destroyed the car too.

any help?

Wasn't that the edning to License to Drive? With the Coreys? They borrow his gradpa's car (a caddy) and it gets all smashed up and Grandpa had the dads BMW and he wrecked it too.

This could be a good game...

Do you remember that movie where Leslie Nielsen fired a gun at an invisible monster?

How about the Kevin Bacon rafting trip weird-vibe movie?

The River Wild.

Or how about the one with the guy who wears an over-sized Darth Vader Helmet...?

That's called Star Wars.

I know you meant Spaceballs.

And that one where that guy goes back to some beach and Pee-Wee Herman's there?

I have a tough one

The movie where, in the first few minutes, Fred Astaire gets eaten by his own shoes.

How about that one with Sly Stallone in which he's a gangster, and goes straight to honor his father's dying wish?

Was someone from the golden girls in this movie, and does he plan on making a sequal to it?  Alright, its Oscar.

Somewhat of a serious question.  I remember watching a movie about a school where all the kids were out of control, so the administration got kick-ass robot teachers.  It was 80's and the hero was a somewhat reformed punk kid (while he drank and smoked, but refused to do drugs).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I remember that one!!!

It's almost like the robot teachers were German, since they were sporting high buzz cuts. It was the 80s, after all! They start kicking the crap out of the trouble students, and it was sweet!!!

I'll see if I can find the title of it.

You know what, I think it's this one:

Class of 1999 II - The Substitute

I found "Class of 1999", and the description seemed to match the movie, but I didn't see any buzzcut people. When I found the cover for part 2, I saw the guy I remembered from the movie.

This is a perfect candidate for a classic MST3K riff!! Too bad it's obscure. I doubt you'd be able to find a copy outside of Ebay.

The one I remember was Class of 1999, I just don't remember anything that warranted a sequal.  Nice find.
