I learned Frank had a deathwish 'cause Jason could have shifted over to the left or right and use the roof frame to help support him until Dennis Quaid got there to do who knows what.

Yes, the noble hobo has so much to teach us, if only we would listen.

I learned that the dining area in a Russian cargo ship looks remarkably like the booths at the Hardees down the street.  On a related note, I learned that Russian cargo ships will make trans-Atlantic journeys just for kicks (no cargo in the hold).

I learned that all Russian medical supplies are labelled in Cyrillic, except penicillin.  On a related note, I learned that penicillin stored in sub-zero conditions can completely cure a case of septicemia overnight.

I learned that CGI wolves immediately turn feral after just a day or so without being fed.  I also learned they will cross lower Manhattan rather than hang around the nearest source of ready prey (the zoo itself).

I learned that wooden rails, furniture, and flooring are completely useless for burning to stay warm.

I learned that hardened climatologists/explorers who routinely cross ice shelves can't be bothered to probe ahead and discover they are walking on a skylight hidden by less than four inches of snow.

I learned that you can't trust a paleoclimatologist to water your houseplants while you're on vacation.

I learned that there is still product placement after the Apocalypse.

This is back on my mind following February Fury here in the mid-Atlantic.

But I learned that the eye of an arctic superstorm capable of freezing helicopter fuel and flash freezing anyone exposed to it is still not cold enough to extinguish a fire.

I learned that wolves live in New York city and that they don't die in a flood they just watch for the water to freeze solid.

I learned that if it is so cold every thing on earth will freeze instantly you will be ok if you just wear a coat you can get at Wal Mart.

I learned that military helicopters can easily fly round-trip from Mexico to New York City without refueling.

I learned that it's more efficient to burn books than wooden furniture.

I learned that for some reason, there will be an ice age after global warming.

I learned that Gringos will illegally immigrate to Mexico.
