Title: What should be Nestor riffs Christmas iriff?
Post by: N.E.S. TOR on September 10, 2008, 03:36:27 PM
I've been thinking of the new Alvin and Chipmunks film. Since my riffs are family based and not as serious, it would be easy. But just in case, What else can I riff for the Holiday season?

How about A Very Brady Christmas?

When you've settled on something, I'll index it. :)

I think more that he's going to be riffing G and PG movies.

Yes that's the case. He's going to be doing the kid or family audience movies.

okiedokie.

I suggest 'A miracle on 34th street' or Home Alone.

Yeah either of those would work, especially the remake of Miracle

Although making it 'family friendly' would mean avoiding all the great creepy old guy and daughter pimping out her Mum jokes.

Probably Miracle, neverseen it though. Home Alone is a classic in our family so that won't be riffed by me.

Yeeeeaaahhh. Real cute.

Um, what's the name of that movie that Ted Turner plays on one of his networks for 24 hours straight?

Could it be...oh, I don't know...A CHRISTMAS STORY???!!!

Have you considered taking on 'The Santa Clause(s)"?..Apparently, this X-Mas delight has now ballooned into a certifiable trilogy of holiday mirth-making waterboarding!

Sweet Jeebus, wail away on any of these monsters!!!  >:D

P.S. I have no idea if any of these have already been riffed. I just thought they might provide what might be referred to as a target-rich environment.

Coke-dealing Santa frightens me, Tim Allen should only be allowed to play people who come from or go to space.

The third one would make an excellent riff. The first one was good. The sequel strayed from the series.

But no to all of them. I was thinking more like Little Brown Burro but it's no longer public domain. I guess I could riff "Kidstrax "The Rapture"" on youtube. That riff was as simple as "The Happenings dialog.

You joking right? Mike Nelson will never allow a riff like that.

I never joke when my man Brown is involved... my man in the brotha sense...

If you ask Mike nicely, then violently challenge him, you'll have a chance of passing the Nelson Barrier

Sorry, but I will never submit myself to the writing of a man who said The Happening was good. Not even as a joke.

That Charlie Brown Riff-Off might be the best idea I've heard on this thread.

A bit confused on why it "wouldn't be allowed" but whatever.

Mike Nelson used it to tell everyone that that's how he feels about Christmas. Even "It's a Wonderful Life" will never be riffed because he has feelings for it.

That doesn't mean he's going to squash an iRiff over it.
