Every download option for this involves torrents. I don't (read: can't) do torrents. Is there someplace I can just click and download a simple AVI file (that's under 700 mgs)?
Failing that, is there some place I can acquire a DVD?
Any help would be appreciated.

If you're looking for an unriffed version of this episode, there are direct downloads available, but only in Quicktime format. You could, if you want to, convert this to DVD format using a program like ConvertXtoDVD, or you could convert it to AVI format using VirtualDubMod, using the DirectShow filter.
To get the unriffed version, go to the New Voyages web site, and go into the download section, then into the Episodes section, and select "To Serve All My Days". Look for the Paulie79 mirror. Once you're at this mirror, click the New Voyages link at the top, and then the "World Enough And Time" link in the frame on the left. In the frame on the right, scroll down to the bottom, right-click the "QT" link, and select "Save Target As". The download should then start.
I'd post a direct link, but I'm fairly new here, and I'm unsure about the forum's policy on external links.

If you don't have a DVD burner, your kinda screwed. PM me your address and I'll see if I can find time to burn just the episode unriffed to a disk and mail it to you.

I think the 700mb thing would still be a problem. I'm assuming that its due to the lack of an actual dvd burner.

If he's got a CD burner, he could buy 800mb CDs... If that's the only problem, but I don't think it is.

The Quicktime version of the file (unriffed) available for direct download is about 368Megs. It could easily be converted to an XVID file, in AVI format, and still be under 450 Megs.

I used TMPGEnc to convert the MP4 file to a DVD compliant MPEG2. The resulting video/audio was about 2.5 GB's. (VBR Bitrate of 6000). The unfortunate thing about the MP4 source video is that it is 25 frames per second, and its deinterlaced. Which hurts for quality when converting it to mpeg2. But, what are ya gonna do

A direct link would be helpful for this board... (BTW- Forum members posted a direct link of the Star Wars Holiday Special if you're worried about 'forum policy'... no worries) ... you should probably start a new topic so as to help the most people.
