Best Buy had Children of Men on sale for $5.99 So I picked that up,I haven't gotten a chance to see it yet but i hope it is as good as they say.

I have now started to raid HDDVD.  Most HDDVDs are cheaper tehn the DVD versions now so that is good news for me.

So far I have The Bourne Identity,300(they came with my player and i picked that up for $75,my Dvd player had just broke down after three years and I wanted those movies any way so I think it was a sweet deal),The Advetures of Robin Hood(Anyone who doesn't know if HD is worth it should watch this movie it's very impressive, you would never guess that it was 70 years old),Serinity,Sky Captain(an underrated movie that again really shows off what HD can do),Hot Fuzz,Justice League New frontier,Superman Returns(I don't care what anyone says I love this movie).

Some of these I found in shops some online but i haven't paid more then $14 a piece for any of them including shipping.

I plan on getting the five disc version of Blade Runner next,it can be had for $22 in the shops in my area now.

took the plunge and scored a PS3. And my first Blu Ray movie is...

Easily the best looking version of the film I've ever had. There's also an interesting featurette about the controversy the film kicked up when it was first released.

I love my PS3, and I haven't even any games for it.  It's a great DVD/Blu-Ray player, and it upscales beautifully.  I bought the Blu-Ray version of Commando the other day, and it looks gorgeous!

Bought a copy of Spider-Man 3 for Christmas for my brother, forgot about it for months. Tried to watch it when we found out Spidey 3 had a riff comming, but the copy was defective. Didn't have the receipt, so had to buy a new copy.

That's probably one of the worst things that could ever happen to anyone.

I now have a great excuse to buy Cloverfield, so that will be my next purchase.

Galv,

Try contacting Sony's customer service. They may be able to arrange an exchange for the defective disc. Then, at least, you'd have two working copies.

Three Kings was super cheap and bumped my Amazon.com purchase up into free-shipping. Into the Wild was for my girlfriend, but she left it at our friend's house the night i gave it to her... so i still haven't even seen it yet. And i guess that makes Dark Passage the only real, true DVD that i actually meant to buy.

Well, I never saw the first two seasons.  So it is new to me.  That's why I bought it, since I missed it when it originally aired.

I don't think it is anything I would watch again anytime soon.  But someday, years from now, I could see myself rewatching it since I find the show very entertaining.  Same with all the seasons of Kitchen Nightmares, if and when they are released here in the States.
