So you rather he threw the original inserts away?

Yeah, because that's the only other option. Either cut them up or throw them all away.  Roll Eyes

Well, if I'm going to switch cases to save space, I generally don't want to have to take up more space elsewhere to save inserts. So I think Greg's point is sound.  I donate the regular-sized cases to my library and to goodwill.

I really don't care what you do with your own DVDs... seriously. Hold on, let me make that all big and in bold:

I really don't care what you do with your own DVDs.

I was just saying that it caught me off guard that you trim the inserts. Personally, i could never do that... I think it would short curcuit something in my brain! But they're your DVD inserts, use 'em as wallpaper for all i care.  Cheesy

My last few purchases:

(good deal at Amazon: $5)

(also on sale at Amazon--a lot of their TV DVDs are 40% off)

And, something I've been meaning to buy for a while now:

Rude,

About the trimming the DVD inserts....that's like nails on a blackboard to me, too.

Only because I never want to ruin the chance to sell something out of my DVD or CD collection.  And I know that the "Used" stores won't touch anything that doesn't have it's original packaging.

Speaking of which...

And, something I've been meaning to buy for a while now:

Wish I'd known....I'd have sold you mine (I'm saving up for the Complete Set rather than buy the rest individually).   Wink

Eh, you can still sell these on Amazon without the original packaging.  And doh. Smiley

I really hate some packaging (the Bender's Big Score package will go buh-bye once all 4 of those movies are out; I'll print up a standard "futurama movies collection" label and put them in a 15 mm 4-DVD holder next to my season sets.  I hate "fancy" packaging that sticks out.

The Australian release has regular dvd packaging, a friend of mine bought the US version (so that he could get it a few months early) and I am now very glad I waited!

I understand what they were trying to do, and I respect it. I'd just rather that they say, "Here it is in a paper sleeve; buy the 4th one and it'll be a 4-DVD case and you can put them all in that!"

Don't know why I bought this...I mean I enjoyed it, and it was only $5 on Netflix...

Another case of not sure why I bought this...again, I enjoyed it, and it was only $5 on Netflix...

And then I bought I Am Legend yesterday (couldn't find box art online...weird)

This was a good movie, the ending was a little weak, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Hmm, two will smith movies. That's what I'm talkin' about!

Just as well I didn't sell it.

Now that Ivan Dixon has passed away, I want to watch The Big Tall Wish again.

Wish I had the Complete Set now for this one as well.

Made quick stop at Pawn America as well, grabbed Star Trek 3, Star Trek First Contact, The Day After, Martin Lawrence You So Crazy, Dennis Miller The Raw Feed, Jackie Chan 2-pack, The Outlaw Josie Whales, & Hellraiser. I'm not a Trekkie so hopefully ST3 isn't too painful for a first time viewer.

Oh it will be. Doc Brown (or if you are old enough Jim from Taxi) as a Klingon is pretty hard to get through.

Well, as a Trekkie, I really like Trek 3.  But I think you need to have seen Trek 2 for it to make sense, as it's the latter half of that story.

Why?  They replay it and rehash it enough during ST3 I heard "...the needs of the few or the one" in my sleep after watching it.

Well it's the end of a character arc for Kirk, and for the Enterprise beyond plot points like that.

I thought the "arc" was Khan/Search/Voyage....      Wink
