If you have the player version of Rifftrax Player 1.9.8.8 and wish to uninstall it, then this form will help.

I have a written a program which will remove the install registry keys as well as remove the install files on your hard drive and in your Programs Menu.

The program will NOT remove the items in your quick start bar, or your pin up menu (Items displayed immediately when you click the Start button)

I have tested this solution on Windows XP and Windows Vista from a standard Rifftrax Player installation.

Warning: This program does not remove EVERY key associated with Rifftrax. Only the registry keys which are absolutely necessary in order to reduce the possibility of a problem occurring as a result of working with the registry.

I strongly urge you to create a backup of your registry in case of the remote change that a problem occurs, and import it in that circumstance.

This program was merely written as a tool to assist you. Please don't hate us if something goes awry.

Thanks,
The help

The file can be downloaded here

They are working on a new and improved version of the Rifftrax Player. The original "play an mp3 while you watch a DVD" method still works fine though. The (free) beta Rifftrax Player program was designed to play audio commentary podcasts in sync with your DVD copy of whatever movie they're riffing while you watch on your computer. If you bought a "movie" from Rifftrax, like a VOD or a DVD, the riffing is pre-synced so you don't need the Rifftrax Player anyway. If you want more help, you'll have to be a bit more specific about what you bought.

This is what I use, along with Window Media Player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
I believe it is also the program that the new RiffTrax Player will end up using.
Just play the movie in WMP or VLC, and the mp3 in the other. The volume can easily be controlled in both, so just find levels that work for you.
