HOO-HOO-HA and a HOKA-HOKA-HEY!

« Reply #315 on: August 14, 2009, 02:57:06 PM »

Dear Mike,

Did I ever tell you the humorous anecdote about three men, two of which had similar professions of a religious nature and a third one of a whole different, yet comedic sounding background, all of whom proceeded to make an entrance into a well known alcoholic-serving drinking establishment?

Evidently, the owner of this well known alcoholic-serving drinking establishment noticed something odd about the manner of the three patrons and had queried them about this problem, which provoked three responses out of the gentleman. The third patron, the one with the whole different, yet uniquely sounding background responded with something very outrageous and comical.

No?

Well, a Priest, a Rabbi and a Scotsman walk into a bar....

Mike,

What is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything?
Google can help you out with that. Just search "answer to life the universe and everything"

Are we going to return to ever having a point or is this thread going to go further south?
That's what she's wondering

Hi, Mike,

A parent friend of mine was commenting about how his kids want to watch the same movies, over and over, every time they want to watch movies.  Parents often have to sit through these viewings, if they want time with their kids.  Embarrassed

That's when I thought of Riff Trax, and wondered if there's a crying need, and a market, for riffs that can be played by parents over an MP3 player, through ear-bud earphones.   They would still be able to hear the movie, and their kids, but they'd be much more likely to have a smile on their faces.  Grin

The only problem might be laughing inappropriately.   Evil  But once the kids have seen the movie enough times to memorize it, they might enjoy listening along to the riff track, also (if it's clean).

If this works at all, it could turn into a series of alternate riffs for each movie, so the parents don't get tired of the riff, either.  Desperate parents will thank you for helping, not curse you for taking advantage of them.

Anyway, that's my thought, and I hope it makes all of you rich and keeps the riffs coming for decades to come.

Long time fan, love your riffs, I love to make riffs of my own when I watch movies in film class Cheesy
My question is how did you meet Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbbet?
And I also have a question for Disembaudio, are you realate to that little brave toaster from the Disney movies? and if not are you related to any famous inanimate objects? (P.S I think Cerebro is your great aunt)
Please respond

Hey Mike, have you guys ever thought of casting Wayne Brady?  I think he would do a great job.  You guys are doing a great job though.  I love the commentaries on the present movies.  MST3K is Awesome too!

Well it's not so much about "casting" Wayne Brady, it's more about if he would be interested in appearing as a guest riffer on Rifftrax. It might work in a six degrees of previous guest riffers sort of way. Wayne Brady used to work on Whose Line Is It Anyway with Drew Carey who's friends with Weird Al Yankovic who appeared on the Rifftrax for Jurassic Park, for example.

Why not invite Trent Reznor down to riff the New Day the Earth Stood Still. I know he's got a good sense of humor, and you guys have made enough jokes at him over the years.

Trent Reznor has a good sense of humour?  Where does he keep it?

It's in a book in a box high upon a shelf in a locked and guarded vault, along with all the things Steven Page keeps only for himself.

First of all, Mike hasn't answered a question in years.  Secondly, when he did, he never answered questions about what movies he will or will not do,

If you could rip ANY Celebrity's Eyes out, and through them on the Floor, then stomped on it, and threw their rotting corpse in a tank full of Sharks, who would it be?
