Charming.
No, this has to do with my professional life, not my personal one.
I was giving RVR a hard time about that word coming to mind so easily...not you.

Crap, I think that I've got pink eye. I'm seriously debating calling in sick to work, since I'm sure customers won't appreciate me touching the stuff that they buy when they make eye contact with me.
Very torn, what should I do?

I called in, they're seeing if they can get my shift covered today. Crossing my fingers, it would be nice to have the day off today.

Very torn, what should I do? Stay. Home. Of course, when my boss thought I had Pink Eye and I went to the doctor they told me that I'd been contagious for quite awhile before the visible signs showed up. (and it turned out that I actually had a splinter in my eye)

I am manager for a regional drug store company and last week I was reassigned to store an hour drive away.
They say its only temporary, but I can tell that they'd prefer me being there permanently. Except I don't want to move there and be a great distance away from everyone I know.
In near future (from a few weeks to even a few days) I may have to decide if I want keep getting paid or not.
My thought at this point is - if they offer me more money I may take it and if not I walk away.

Relocation - one of the many, many, many reasons why management has never appealed to me. Of course, it could also be why a college graduate like myself is working as a peon at Wal-mart . . .

My estranged father has finally set gotten himself a Facebook page and has requested to be my friend. I don't know what to do, because while I really do want to repair our relationship, he's making it extremely difficult by showing absolutely no remorse for his past actions and basically acting like a selfish man-child. I don't really want him posting on my page or looking at my pictures and commenting on them.
At the same time, my not accepting him may create yet another drama that I'm not in the mood for right now. Crap, I don't know what to do here.

It's hard, I know. My father has been estranged from my grandfather for years and he tries to get to him through us and my mom. I don't think denying his request would be horrible but it also couldn't hurt to give it a try. Maybe if he can see what a wonderful person you are through your facebook, he'll make more of an effort to repair the relationship. You can always delete him if it doesn't go well.

Sigh. We're gearing up to go to my in-laws for Thanksgiving. I wouldn't mind so much except that we have to board our dogs (her parents have a dog that's old and cranky and doesn't get along with other animals) for 5 days, and I'll miss them. And also, I don't really want to dress up and wear a tie for T-day. I dunno how common that is, but it is NOT how I grew up, and...well, everyone probably knows by now how I feel about ties.
So not a Rarrgh, but more of a "aw, goddammit."
