Crap! I just found out the gorgeous woman I went out with on Friday "just wants to be friends". That keeps happening to me, over and over!
Wasn't there talk of a RiffMatch here on the Forums?

Oh come now! I'm sure RVR's month long business-vacation with his in-laws, plus the lengthy trip back to the States was most harmonious...

The DVD player in my computer is going bad and stuttering like a drunk Jeff Goldblum. Good thing that drunk Jeff Goldblum is funny. I wish I could record it and put it on Youtube. Watching it with Titanic is killing me.

Not so much a "RRARGH!" as more of a shrug and an "oh well". My latest story submission was rejected today: the editor felt that it was overwritten and tried too hard to be jokey. I think he's probably right in that it's a little too complicated in terms of the writing, and with another draft, I could probably streamline the jokes too. Besides, "Onward Christian Soldier" is probably going to be funnier that "Good Kind Wensceslaus".

Well, I've now joined the ranks of the unemployed. What I thought was going to be a winter vacation is apparently indefinite joblessness. My employer left it a bit open as to whether they'd be needing my services any time in the future, so now I find myself needing another job. One that doesn't travel too much. I love traveling myself . . . my wife, not so much on the me traveling thing. Which for a guy with less than a year of data entry experience and a lot of driving experience (non-CDL) rules out a lot of possibilities. Which leaves me shooting in the dark in a room with very few targets to begin with.

Damn. Sorry dude. The job market is pants-crappingly terrifying out there, isn't it?

I sold my first story last year, which was surprising considering it was the first story I'd ever submitted, and I sent this one out at the end of last month. I write fiction, but I've done little pieces of journalism for radio, about 10 years ago.

Man, that Sux! Ya'know, if your decent with numbers, maybe you can get on at a income tax office.. I've hired 4 girls that are bilingual (cause our target market is Spanish-speaking clients) and good with numbers and proficient on a computer for tax season.. Just a thought

Just a thought I'm okay with numbers . . . Not so much with the bilingual, though. Which is becoming more and more of a handicap here in Texas.
