Those of you planning on attending this year's Comic Con here in beautiful San Diego, take note! Mike (along with Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett) will be there to answer questions, sign autographs, and attempt to wade through the thronging mass of people that is the Con. Here are some details for anyone among you who would be seeking, well, details:
Thursday, July 26th 1:30pm - 2:30pm - Mike will be at and around the DivX booth, greeting fans and being videotaped, as well as general milling about. 3pm - 7pm - Mike will be signing autographs in the Autograph Area. He'll be at Table AA23.
Friday, July 27th 1:30pm - 2:30pm - Mike will be once again hanging around the DivX booth, being followed by a camera as he greets fans and denies rumors that he is actually DisembAudio. 3pm - 7pm - Signing autographs and rubbing ointment on his wrist in the Autograph Area, Mike will be at Table AA19.
Saturday, July 28th 11am - 3pm - Even more signing of childrens' foreheads and movie posters, this time Mike will be at Table AA16. 5:45pm - 7pm - Shout! Factory panel featuring Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett. They will be previewing clips from the upcoming Film Crew DVDs, followed by a Q&A. This takes place in Room 6B.
Besides Mike and the guys, official personnel from RiffTrax and Legend Films will be on hand with Exclusive movie posters, DVDs, flyers, stickers, and more cool stuff. Whether you'll have to play 20 questions to get the cool stuff, hasn't been decided yet.
If you plan on going, feel free to say hello. Hope to see some of you there!
As always, get the most recent schedule information from the Comic Con site

Yay! So glad to hear you guys found a way to have a presence at the Con. I won't be in attendance, having spent all of my disposable income for the month on Guitar Hero Encore two days earlier, but here's hoping it translates into big sales for RiffTrax.
The question is, where are we meeting for heavily hopped beers afterwards?

That's cool. If he's being followed around with a video camera, shall we expect a little feature to appear on Rifftrax.com soon after?

Steve-O: Where do you think??? Ah, so! It should be noted that the Karl Strauss Old Columbia Brewery is very close to the convention center. Not nearly as cool as the Gardens, but the beer is still mucho primo. So. Y'know. Note that.

There's actually a nice hidden place right around fourth and a, I think, called Downtown Johnny Browns. Is always worth checking out before a ballgame or anything else downtown. Not as extensive a selection as O'Briens, and I've never had the food, but they've always got some great stuff from SD on tap.

1220 Third Ave., apparently.Very interesting, although 'Voted Best Sports Bar in San Diego by Men's Health Magazine" gives me some pause. Still, the local brewer lineup has all the right names in it. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in the area. Does the place get really slammed before a ballgame?

Yeah, that is a rather dubious source...Never been before a game, just before dinners downtown. Went one time and it was Coronado Brewing Company night, and they had free pizza and mozeralla sticks, which was pretty nice of them.

Does anyone know if there will be a charge for the autograph? I've haven't been to Comic Con in over 10 years, but I'm definitely interested in going this year to see Mike and the gang.

I can't say for sure, but knowing Mike, it seems highly, highly unlikely that he would charge for an autograph.

I believe that autographs will be free, as per comic con policy but if you want to get any of the
we have signed, you'll have to buy one of them!
