How about: What movies would you recommend to broaden our horizons as filmgoers, widening our scope past the typical fanboy realm? (Noone responded to my thread)

I haven't scrutinized this thread nor the "Questions" thread, but I'd ask about the Film Crew and see what that's all about. At a glance, it seems like the same thing as Rifftrax except with older, bad movies typical of MST3K fodder.

Film Crew was more MST3K-like, except that Mike Kevin and Bill just played themselves, no puppets, no shadowrama on the movie, and they weren't being held captive. The movie choices though, very MST3K.

Yes, very MST3K like, and the best part was we got to see these guys act! I really missed that.

My question would be, "where can we submit questions that Mike might actually answer?" [With the live broadcasts in January there was a very brief time where that was possible, but not since.] And, if there were such a place, my question would/will be, "We know from other interviews that on MST3K the different writers' riffs were distributed among 'Joel', 'Mike', Tom Servo, and Crow based on which character they seemed more appropriate for... in the various RiffTrax, is whoever speaks a line the one who wrote it?" (This was assumed, but then this question came to mind with the '3-riffer edition' of 'Missile to the Moon' in which the script was written without Kevin or Bill present... therefore, impossible for that particular RiffTrax.)

From what I've read from diffent descriptions of the riffer's writing process they usually divide the movie into pieces, with each riffer writing one, so on a given movie Bill might have written everything in the first 30 to 40 minutes, then Mike the next, then Kevin the next.

Yep, that's generally how it works.
BTW I have an idea for resurrecting this podcast using video, so it'd be something we could do at the office. I hope to run it by Mike and the other people here soon.

Awesome! Here's my question: With Bill and Kevin living so far away, are you still ever able to do an MST3K style "writing room" where everyone sits down together to watch the movie?

Since the guys are apparently so obsesed with XtraNormal, the cute bears could answer questions on their behalf.

Hey, Mike- What's buggin' Mike? Hey, Mike- I LOVE the RiffTrax. Let's promote it on a giant radio station in Chicago. I'm filling in next week on WGN, and I'd love to have you on. Remember the fun we used to have in Kansas City? Well, the fun I used to have? Please lemme know if you might have time. Thanks, Randy

One at a time: Hey, Mike- What's buggin' Mike? Hey, Mike- I LOVE the RiffTrax. Let's promote it on a giant radio station in Chicago. I'm filling in next week on WGN, and I'd love to have you on. Remember the fun we used to have in Kansas City? Well, the fun I used to have? Please lemme know if you might have time. Thanks, Randy
I ain't no moderator but this might not be the best place to ask. I would try to get to him through legend films if you want to do some sort of interview. Though I would not want to make a presumption there's something fishy about how you phrased the post. Also is it Hey or What's buggin? You have to choose. This isn't a question as much as it is a plea. Please riff New Moon when it comes out!!! Please!! Please!! Please!! Please!! Please!! Please!!
This will happen. Patience. The film is still in theaters. If the podcast is resurrected, do not request movies. That's what the forum he probably never reads is for (Torgo does though, which is pretty good). Burn in Hell and get raped in the ass by sea urchins, you damn spammer. I hope that somehow are killed by sports watches.
