Buried at the end of a Variety article tracking the unlikely rise of Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton from reality TV faux filmmakers - their satirical horror script FEAST won the "Project Greenlight" contest - to official SAW franchise scribes, is this little nugget: "As for their next steps, the duo's already working on a "Saw VII" script."
That's right, ladies and gentlemen, for those of you who thought SAW VI would be the end of the franchise, bad news, it's not. The SAW franchise will outlive us all. It's basically Skynet. There's no stopping it.
The sixth round of torture traps will be available for public consumption on October 23rd. http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=27525

It'll be the Sawiest Saw of them all!
Sorry. I'm a bit punchy today.

Even this hardcore Saw fan thinks six is enough, no need to stretch it out anymore.
Although, Friday the 13th had it's best entry at number six... Hmmm...

I agree. I like the Saw series, but I really want some damn closure. I don't want to see Hoffman get away with his crimes any more.

The Saw movies are awesome. AWESOME! Except part 3, which was just Robert the Bruce from Braveheart stumbling around being stupid and fat the whole movie.

HA! It's an opinion I've voiced many times. lol
I defy anyone to come up with a better description of what he's doing that whole movie though.

I liked 3 but 5 was a bad CSI episode with the word Saw attached. Though the corpses all outacted Caruso quite badly.

As long as they still cost nothing to make and then take in over 100 million at the BO they are never going to stop.

Cool!
The Saw series holds a special place for me, beside the fact Leigh (writer and co-star of the original) is the only movie reviewer I've ever listened to, 3 is the only movie I've ever had an usher threaten to throw me out of and the last three in the series I've seen on dates.
