First order of business. The cute little fox puppet that pops up in my iRiff posters. I found him in a store one day and instantly wanted him to be the RFT mascot, but there's one problem. For the life of me, I haven't settled on what to name him. I've been looking up various fox related names (Todd doesn't seem right, Reynard or just Rey...maybe. Kinda like the Irish name Crevan) but I thought I'd ask what everyone else thought. Anyone think of a good name for a fox?
Also, it seems like I might be in need of a new sync voice sometime in the future. Shadow's been great, but time constraints have become a problem. She's changed jobs and started going back to school, so days when she isn't insanely busy are not just a rarity but a miracle. Also changes in the living situation planned in the next year are going to make recording with her even harder to schedule. So this little fox may or may not be my future sync-character. Not sure when this will go into effect.
So, thoughts?

Well, for my 2 cents when I think fox character I think.....snotty, sarcastic wise ass, with a british accent, named Nigel. I don't know why, I just do. It would provide the back and forth opportunities that can be fun, as long as you don't mind getting cracked on by a hand puppet that is.
That's why we made Satan such a lame doofus, just so if I need a crutch I can take it out on his dumb ass.
Wait, what?
See what I mean?

How bout.. WDCS098 'The Foxy Fox' - 1948
Synopsis: Scrooge convinces Donald to participate in a fox hunt but the fox is rather sly...
The nephews have rented a tame fox who answers to the name of Red Herring, and can be easily brought in. Donald promptly forgets the fox's name, and it will not react to names like Smoked Barracuda, Kippered Sprats, Filet of Sole, Grilled Halibut, and a dozen other names.

Hmm...Nigel. It has possibilities. Soon as I thought of a british accented fox, I instantly had a rant playing in my head about how barbaric fox hunting is...and that instantly reminded me of a classic cartoon that I had to look up to see if the fox in it was already named Nigel. Nope, it was Reginald, and looking it up gave me a hell of a laugh when I noticed the name of his newspaper. http://www.youtube.com/v/PpPadoHlPoY&hl=en&fs=1&(He shows up at 1:44)

Reginald would work too, something aristocratic sounding, like Nigel Foxington III, with an ascot and monocle. I can't explain why that's what I think of but it's all I got. EDIT:

For me though, Communism is the real Red Herring. I do want to see this comic though.

How about Moldy? The British fox definitely has potential. By the way, how's that new logo coming?

Whenever I think of a snooty, upper-class, monocle-wearing, British-speaking character, the name "Percy" always comes to mind. And you definitely need to have "III" in there...it's one thing to have a snooty name, it's quite another to be the third with the same name. It's like the George Carlin routine about a Pope named "Corky" needing to be "Pope Corky IX," since no one would take "Corky I" seriously.

Don't forget that "Zorro" is Spanish for Fox! Nigel and Reginald are both good choices. Also, foxes are sly, so perhaps "Sylvester" with "Sly" as a nickname.

I was actually thinking of "Redd", myself, as in "Redd Foxx". Then, instead of having a British accent, he'd be like: "You big dummy!"

I agree, British accent and snooty name. I think there is some unwritten rule that all foxes are British and all monkeys are French.

How about Moldy? The British fox definitely has potential. By the way, how's that new logo coming? I think a fox would likely resent that name. As for the new logo, it's coming along nicely. It's looking to be ready this month when Nightmare 4 goes online (fingers crossed) Don't forget that "Zorro" is Spanish for Fox! Nigel and Reginald are both good choices. Also, foxes are sly, so perhaps "Sylvester" with "Sly" as a nickname.
Hmm, I could have sworn zorro was a different animal, but now that character makes a lot more sense. Interesting that a hero named for a fox would be dressed in black. I mean there are black foxes around, but its not usually the image that springs to mind. I like "Red"...........simple, not very exciting.
I was actually thinking of "Redd", myself, as in "Redd Foxx". Then, instead of having a British accent, he'd be like: "You big dummy!" Ah, but then I'd have to put up with him having "The big one" every time we tried to record.

Freddie Fox, perhapse?
If you want to go British:
Nevil Fox Irwin Fox Leonard Pinth-Fox (named after Dan Aykroyd's SNL character Leonard Pinth-Garnell, who presented "Bad Ballet", "Bad Cinema" and others)
