Another great cover, Bob. As per usual. Which, when I think about it, is a little bit suspicious. If this keeps up, I'm going to be a little worried that you might actually be SkyNet, just trying to get in good with humanity before pulling a swerve on us.
This one knows too much......

Just finished watching, and loved it! (I made sure to rate it)
I used the BlueRay, and had difficulty keeping it in sync. Is that a different cut than the DVD?

Not that I know of. We've never tried watching any riff on a BluRay before, but theoretically it should work the same. I watched this riff myself and had to pause the track once or twice to get it re-synched with the movie... we had a problem with ripping this DVD, so it's possible that threw off the sync a tiny bit.

I don't reauther, I just play the MP3 on my computer and the movie on my BlueRay. There is one definite change with the BlueRay, though. That is that the Touchstone logo you use for starting the track is not there where it is in the beginning on the DVD. The elaborate "pirate ship" style Disney logo animation is right before the Tim Burton Presents, Nightmare Before Christmas. I had to sync it up with the first sync line.

Hey guys, First off, love your stuff, looking forward to this one. Having a slight issue though: I'm reauthoring in audacity, and the sync is so off here that I think we must be using different cuts entirely. Between each syncline, there's a 10-30 difference, sometimes early, sometimes late. Drift is easy to work around, but if the sync is off due to different cuts I fear the jokes will not make sense at parts. I'm putting off viewing this until I can figure this out. Can you clarify exactly which version you used so I can track that down? You mention the Touchstone logo in the beginning, and my DVD does have this, but it's all downhill from there. I can't find any information suggesting this movie has different cuts, but it's surely been released and re-released many times from different distributors. Any tips that'd point me to exactly what DVD you have would help a lot, e.g. where you ordered it from and when, whether it has the 3D version, etc. Thanks.

Hrm.. so I fetched a copy of this movie from less legitimate channels and it syncs perfectly, so problem solved. Now I wonder why the DVD I purchased is a different cut.. Oh well. The hazards of rifftrax.

Yeah, not sure what the problem is there. The copy we used was rented off of Netflix... it wasn't a special edition or anything, though I do know that it wasn't the latest version put out of DVD and BluRay (which, I'm told, starts with a Disney logo rather than a Touchstone logo). Anyway, once we'd finished the riff, we watched it using that DVD and it synced up pretty well... a slight amount of drift towards the end, but that was about it. I'm not sure what version you had... Keith is the one with the Netflix account, so I'll check with him to figure out exactly what version was rented so that we can add a notation to the product page telling people which one they'll need.... though even with the Disney logo one, it should still sync up if you match the first sync-line.
Anyway, sorry for the problems, glad you got them all sorted out. Hope you liked the riff, and please remember to rate and review! We need all the ratings we can get!

I watched this again with my Special Edition DVD instead of my Blue Ray, and had little to no drift problems.

I'd love to vote up your stuff, but I have yet to figure out where you do that. I've bought quite a few iRiffs, but have never been presented with the option to vote on them. I browsed the iRiff section for a while and didn't see it there either.

At the top of the page, sandwiched between the title of the riff and the NTSC/PAL/VOD things, there's a five-star rating system. You can only see it on riffs that you've purchased (or have been granted to you), but that's where you rate an iRiff. Ratings control where the riffs appear on the top 50 list and whether or not they become one of the "Random Top iRiffs" on the iRiff page, so we can definitely use all the ones we can get!

Thanks, I didn't realize you could vote there when you rolled over it -- the same graphics are used on the main page but are just an image. You have my vote, good stuff.
