I'm pretty sure I'm glad I can't read that cat's thoughts.

Oh my.  I'm torn.  This is one of my favorite movies ever, and thus a sacred cow.  On the other, I love seeing cows slaughtered and you guys are pretty damn funny.

Looking forward to this. Is the joke density less than usual in the sample because it is during a song?

I can't beleive you guys go through these so quickly and they come out so well.

Yeah, the fact that it's a song made us not want to talk over the whole thing... we actually weren't sure how to approach riffing the musical numbers. We weren't sure if we should try to sing over the musical numbers as much as possible or just riff them like any other scene. Given that neither of us can sing very well and don't have any lyrical talent, we decided to just approach it like any other scene... but riffing lines in songs can be trickier since they tend to come faster than dialogue... so there are times, during a build to one of our favorite jokes, where we have a bit of space, just because we don't want to step on the song's toes so that our next joke will make sense.

For the regular, non-singing scenes (of which there are actually quite a few in this movie... I forgot there were only like 5 songs), it's all business as usual. But I'm hoping people enjoy the riffed musical numbers too... they were a bit of a challenge.

Yeah, when I was riffing Sleeping Beauty, most of my jokes during the "Once Upon a Dream" sequence came from the actions and one case of just throwing a line in for giggles. I really only riffed lines from the first songs because riffing at people who are marching gaily didn't seem nearly as funny.

Oh, and great riff, by the way. It really made me smile a lot.

Riffing musical numbers is kind of a tricky business for us. There are parts where we wanted to sing over the lyrics in the movie, but the fact that our riff is on a separate track means that's a joke that's easily ruined if the tracks aren't synced-up as well as they should be... we tried to resist the temptation, but we had to give in and throw in a few song-lyric rewrites. But yeah, anyone who takes on riffing a musical gets a tip of the hat in my book.

Anyway, glad you liked it! Please remember to rate and review!

Another great cover, Bob. As per usual. Which, when I think about it, is a little bit suspicious. If this keeps up, I'm going to be a little worried that you might actually be SkyNet, just trying to get in good with humanity before pulling a swerve on us.
