Watched it last night. Really fun, though I still prefer a riff on a terrible movie to a riff on a movie I like.

Still, thoroughly enjoyed by all present!

Watching this again, I was reminded of one of the more obscure jokes that I liked:

young chimp:  "Whatever happened to honor?"
Matthew:      "She was replaced by Diana Rigg"

I wasn't completely sure what that referred to, but I expected it was a reference to the old TV show, The Avengers, and I remembered that the Emma Peel character (played by Diana Rigg) was brought in to replace the original companion for Steed.  I looked that up, and the original companion was Cathy Gale, played by the actress Honor Blackman.  I do remember the name "Cathy Gale", but not the actress who played her...

I also liked the ending where Miss Embaudio sings a fake theme song for The Planet of Apes, sung to the ending music for the original Star Trek series.  Well done!

Amusing coincidence I found from reading the wikipedia page for Diana Riggs:

Rigg has continued to perform on stage in London. In 2006 she appeared in a drama entitled “Honour” which had a limited but successful run.

In that play she apparently played the title role, a woman named "Honour".

Nothing to do with POTA, I just wanted to mention that today someone told me I reminded them of a friend of a friend by the name of Dale...

Yes, they thought I was Dale
