I have been doing Rifftrax for a while and have had little trouble syncing the Riff with the DVD.
With Planet of the Dinosaurs I had nothing but trouble.
Whole scenes seemed to be missed on the rifftrack.  It jumped passed, for example, ANOTHER walking scene and went right to the sleeping on the metal box scene.   This occurred several times.

Is anyone else having this trouble?

The widescreen special edition from RETROMEDIA is the only DVD version that will work. Are you using the old fullscreen version from GOODTIMES video?

You are using the wrong version of the DVD.  You have to use this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Dinosaurs-30th-Anniversary-Widescreen/dp/B000TJBNB2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1251651738&sr=8-2

This is not the version that comes from Netflix.

Isn't Planet of Dinosaurs available as a pre-synced video on demand download?

He probably wants to do his own "ducking" for sound levels.

Bingo.

I got my copy from Netflix, which is the Goodtime version.

Thanks for the info.
That sucks as the Goodtime edition is probably the most available.

Oh well, when it worked it was pretty funny.
