What was really exciting was that I had just been reading about Poveglia Island ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poveglia) and thinking, "Wow, that would make a great horror movie." Thank you, Scorsese. |

I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hope the ending isn't what I think it is It probably is. But might be OK if you like that sort of thing. Doesn't look like it's set on Poveglia though, looks like the eastern seaboard, New England more likely than not. |

But might be OK if you like that sort of thing. I do Yes, I rather assumed you do. So back to Poveglia, I don't know that it's got that much of a connection to this film than it does to, say, The Fog , that certainly had more elements connecting it to the Venetian lagoon (including a mist that hung about the plague/leper colony). It's from the same writer who gave us Mystic River so that's interesting. |

and it has now been pushed to February..... lame....
Saw that last night. Most uncool indeed. Good thing there's a few other good looking horror titles coming out this year. And my friend sorta clued me in on the ending, and I kinda hope it's not what I think (not touching that spoiler in the post above). Even if it is, though, I should still like the movie a lot. |
