Yes, that's right, it's the moment you've all been waiting for! Ice on Mars' second actual non-short, non-TV show outing! And after the blockbuster phenomenon of Twilight, there was really only ONE follow-up film to go to, the "titanic" breakthrough of film, that "unsinkable" mega-hit, that "ice-busting," "James Cameron-directed" -- no, wait, I went too far with the joke. Anyway, we're doing "The Lizzie McGuire Movie."

So here's the thing. When I watched Best Friends' "Deadtime Stories," A, I loved it, and B, it's quickly apparent that they don't give a shit about being R-rated. And I thought, y'know, neither do I, really. For the most part I like to keep a riff about equal to the rating of the original material, BUT I figured, why NOT go blue? In any case, this riff is VILE. Now, don't think that means that I'm just disgusting for disgust...ment's sake. This is still our best material to date, I think. But just fair warning. If you're put off by "dirty words," THIS IS NOT THE RIFF FOR YOU.

Shooting for a mid-September release date, but I thought I'd share some samples with you nice people! Enjoy them before the corporate mouse eats them all alive!

Very unexpected movie choice, but it in a good way.

The samples were great, you've got my sale.

Thanks! I guess I forgot to mention this is co-riffed by my friend Ari Dennis. Enjoy some promotional material of us that won't make any sense without that first clip having been watched.

I've been a fan since I was BLOWN AWAY by your Twilight riff.

This looks to be quite the good time as well, I'm going to add it to my netflix list, so you keep making these fun riffs and I'll keep buying!

Well, that is the plan. I hope. Thanks for the support! Also, don't put it at the top of the queue! As I mentioned, it'll probably be mid-September before this comes out. The main riff is done except for the intro, but we're working on some super special bonuses for this one that I HOPE to make standard on all future IoM releases.

Just so everyone knows, this is still on schedule-ish for a release either late this week or, more realistically, sometime next week. We only have two minor things to still complete: 1. A bit of recording with someone not Ari or myself (!), and 2. some other recording for [CENSORED]. I want to give details soon, but I also want to be able to show off what I'm talking about when I announce it. Ooh, exciting!

Recording should be (cross fingers) done by Friday evening. We shall see!

#1 of 2 is done! Now just have to edit that and a few other minor things and the main riff should be completely done! Then just Friday's horse-hockey to deal with. Huzzah!

You brave, BRAVE souls.  Nice samples, though I confess I'm one of those wusses put off by the profanity.  No sale, but a tip of my hat.   Clap clap!

thanks! i have to ask, though: if we released it with 2 mp3s, one uneditied & one w/the profanity bleeped out, WOULD you be interested in something like that? i thought about doing it for the samples but then figured, y'know, best to advertise what we're selling, if that makes sense. certain lines, of course, would be almost nothing BUT bleeping, but that might make them funnier.

"all right, but if he <beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep> don't come crying to me and expect me not to <beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep>"* would be one post-edit, for instance.

anyway, just curious if this might be something to look into.

I wouldn't mind a bleeped version. I have to admit, I was even a little shocked by a few of the riffs. And I've seen the internet. But overall it was pretty funny.

I think you should offer a bleeped version in addition to your uncensored version. Not because I personally need a censored version, but I think it might help your sales with certain Rifftrax customers. Don't get me wrong, I think it would be silly doing this for an R rated movie. However I suspect there are other customers like Matt who want to see this get riffed, but might feel slightly uncomfortable with blue riffs on PG content. This way you don't miss out on possible sales and your viewers have more options.  Cool

The language did not bother me....... compared to Raging Bull you are guys are wusses!, but having a PG version too is a pretty good idea.

I have a friend who is Mormom who keeps complaining about all the movies he cannot see due to the rating.    There probably are a lot of people in similar situations.

i actually live in the heart of mormonville (provo, UT). out here they have "clean flix" places, which are video rental places that rent EDITED movies. so you can see a 98-minute version of the matrix and so on & so forth. spielberg actually took them to court b/c they're essentially renting a different product and his company argued this is essentially like renting mash-ups on youtube to people--fair use if free, but kind of wobbly once it gets to making people pay for it.

i dunno what happened w/that, but the places are still around so i guess they didn't lose completely. i guess my thing is, like, if you don't want to see something in its entirety, don't lament the lack of seeing it. i have no desire to see german scheisse porn, but i'm never like, 'MAN, if only there were some way to see some of this german scheisse porn, but WITHOUT all the shit-play!' ... granted, i guess it gets brought up less in casual conversation than, say, 'meet the parents,' but still, if you're not into it you're not into it. like, i'm the opposite. i love robot chicken but won't watch it unless it's on dvd b/c i get SO FRICKIN ANNOYED by the bleeps on tv.

anyway, i'm now seriously considering a bleeped version. it might, if nothing else, be interesting as a Dada-ist experiment. probably take a while to cobble together tho.
