It's my longest riff yet at over ninety minutes.  Them! is a movie that tells the amazing story of humanity's struggle to survive in the face of giant, mutated ants.  Check out the preview and buy it here: http://www.rifftrax.com/iriffs/them

Wow, looks like when you upload new work makes a big difference.  Usually I upload on Friday nights and my sales go up fairly quickly.  This time I uploaded "THEM!" at 3am on Sunday and my sales are just now around where they should have been Monday afternoon.  So to any green iriffers out there I have some fresh advice for you: Upload on Fridays.  I sure hope my slow sales aren't because of the preview, I thought it was pretty good.  Though it's hard to say as after a while you can't tell if your work is funny anymore.  Or maybe this is the proof I wanted that VODs sell better.  I fear there are simply too many variables to ever pinpoint which one is the cause.  If you do buy it, remember to leave feedback.  Thanks.

You know, I've never asked for feedback on any of my previews before.  My others were rather short but this one is a full 1/9th of the total experience and therefore it should give the viewer a pretty good idea of what to expect.  What did everybody think?  Did it make you want to buy it all?  While I'm at it, what about my other two?  And thanks to amityisland for her feedback.   Grin

Just downloaded this today and I will watch sometime this week.     It finally dawned on me that I already had the movie sitting on my shelf at home (I assume there is only one cut of the thing!).

Okay, take this for what it is worth.

Very satisfied customer

The movie itself, holds up VERY well 50 years later.  Good to pick a movie that does a lot of the heavy lifting.

Very funny iriff.

There were some empty patches without riffs, but the movie was so good, it could support it.    I am guessing you were torn by the magically formula of "do I riff for the sake of riffing and filling holes, or leave holes in the riff".

Single person riffs are almost impossible to pull off, but you DID pull it off.    Very well done and highly recommended.

Maybe finding a riffing partner to take your riffs to the next level would be a good thing.

Money very well spent here.

Thank you.  I'm fond of it myself.  My best work so far.  I'm actually not afraid of silence like others seem to be.  I feel no need to "riff for the sake of riffing."  I'd rather have silence than a bad joke.  There have been discussions about joint efforts between me and others so we shall see but I will always feel that be it a group or a just one person constant babbling is just annoying, not funny.  I approach it from the mindset that this is the first time the audience is watching this movie and even if I'm not saying something there's still a movie to entertain them.  In this case the movie is pretty good by itself so it works extra well.  But I would also argue that a truly terrible film like "Cosmos: War of the Planets" is a good choice because my pauses give the audience a chance to make their own observations and internal quips.  They become part of an experience as opposed to passively watching something, struggling to keep up with two soundtracks.  I'm not in the business of radio.  I'm in the business of Rifftrax which means I'm not, nor should be, afraid of "dead air."

Thank you for the kind words and the rating.  It's very much appreciated!  Thanks to SJP and you THEM! has reached the Top 10 iriffs.  Which is a little funny considering it is my worst seller with less than half what my first two have.  But it's great people like it and are telling me so.  Thanks again.   Cheesy
