Ricky Williams is picking up the Ronnie Brown slack quite nicely.
Shipment from Jamaica must have been delayed....

Just kidding....

Now that Jimmy Buffett is part owner of the team, I'm sure it's always coming in on time.

 Cheesy

Damn Ricky, save some for the rest of the season...football that is!

Death of NFL Star's Mother Ruled Suicide

Friday, November 20, 2009

GRANBY, Colo.  —  The death of the mother of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been ruled a suicide.

Mina Brees, an attorney from Austin, Texas, died Aug. 7 while visiting Colorado. This week, Grand County coroner Brenda Bock concluded that she died of a prescription drug overdose and ruled the death a suicide.

Bock said Brees died while staying at the home of a friend in Granby near Rocky Mountain National Park.

It took longer than three months for a cause of death to be reached but Bock said that's typical for cases involving toxicology tests.

Relations between Drew Brees and his mother were strained at times and the quarterback asked her to stop using his picture in TV commercials touting her candidacy for a Texas appeals court in 2006.

Bills owner: We will revamp the 'whole operation'

Associated Press

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson is prepared to revamp his entire football operation after the season and warned that no position is safe.

"I tell you, we have a lot of work to do," Wilson told The Associated Press on Thursday in his first interview since firing coach Dick Jauron this week. "We've got to revamp and take a look at the whole operation and that's what we're going to do."

When asked if that includes the possibility of hiring a general manager with a football background, Wilson reiterated that every position will be reviewed.

The Bills (3-6) play at Jacksonville on Sunday and are in jeopardy of missing the playoffs for a 10th straight year. Jauron was dismissed Tuesday and replaced by defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, who will serve as interim coach the rest of the season.

Though Fewell is a candidate for next season, Wilson said he's open to making a lucrative offer to land a high-profile coach.

"It's not about money, it's about winning," Wilson said by phone from his home in suburban Detroit. "If it was about money, we wouldn't have brought in and paid for somebody we know was a great player."

Wilson was referring to the signing of receiver Terrell Owens to a one-year $6.5 million contract in March after he was cut by Dallas.

"Anybody that says I'm cheap is looking down the wrong side of the street," Wilson said.

Wilson discounted reports that the team is interested in interviewing Mike Shanahan, the former Denver Broncos coach.

"I don't know anything about him," he said.

Later in the day, the Bills issued a statement downplaying speculation regarding their coaching search, saying the team is focused on the final seven games of the season and "the efforts of coach Fewell, the coaching staff and our players."

"We understand there will be much speculation regarding the head-coaching position, but we will not comment during the process until a new head coach has been announced."

Wow....good to have an owner who knows the business and everything in it.   Huh

Even I know something about Shanahan.

WHO WOULD YOU START?

Marques Colston (@TB) or Jeremy Maclin (@CHI)

This may sound weird but Frank Gore (@GB) or Ladell Betts (@DAL)

I think poor Ralph Wilson only knows about Matlock.

I remember during the last owner's meeting when they were talking about extending the collective barganing agreement with the player, poor Jerry Jones (never thought I would type THAT) had to explain to Ralph everything that was going on.

I just dont trust the Bears or Philly to be consistent enough to pick anyone involved with them, so I would go Colston.

Not really that odd........ but I would go with Gore.

And I am glad I started Steve Smith!
