Anyone else have sync issues? I synced using my usual method for re-authoring. My video file is clean, my audio file is clean. I synced to the first line to the T. The next two lines are perfect. From the 4th sync line throughout the rest of the Riff the sync line is happening about 3 seconds before the line happens in the movie. Anyone else experiencing this??
Have they said which DVD was used in the making of the RiffTrax? I am using the 2 disc collectors edition. I really, really don't want to use the crappy non-anamorphic old one.

Exact same problem. I'm editing mine in Premiere so I can move it around at each sync line, but the problem I have is before that one line where it loses sync the jokes will probably be out of sync for a few of them. I'm using the collector's edition too, FYI. Pretty annoying.

Same here. The only spot I really noticed it was just before the scene with the empty tanks about 20 minutes into the movie. Add 2-3 seconds of quiet just before then.

Thanks for the input. At least I am not the only one. It seems there might be a problem with the RT. David, which DVD are you using?

Thanks and good thing that it's happening so early at least. I'll watch my dvd (compiling the sumbitch now) and I'll let you know my guess as to where it starts...

Hey thanks! I've been buying these things and making my own dvds since roadhouse, but this is the first real issue that I felt REALLY STRONGLY posting about. What did I miss?

Not too much, just about 3 years of people wanting this movie to get riffed!

To me it seems like it loses sync at around the 17 minute mark when they're fighting over who wants to leave or stay. It's good for most of the scene, but once they have the fight over Patrick Swayze's character being a jock, the group dynamic and the sync both fall apart.

So it seems that the Special Edition is a little different from the old version. Goodie.

Yeah, it's the strangest thing. I don't think I've ever heard of two editions of a film where the difference was a matter of, like, two SECONDS. It's like they KNEW Rifftrax was going to go after them and went out of their way to confound them. Like I said in the main thread, either pause the riff for a second and a half (for non-reauthorers) or add a second and a half of extra space (for reauthorers) somewhere between 20:32 and 20:34. You might have to do a little more rejiggering at the synch lines, but that's pretty much where the problem is.

You might have to do a little more rejiggering at the synch lines, but that's pretty much where the problem is. This kind thing happens a lot especially when you are dealing with new transfers. The original DVD wasn't anamorphic they probably ported over the laser disc transfer. Sometimes they don't even know they used an alternate cut of a movie. The first edition of MGMs DVD of Swamp Thing inadvertently used the international cut that had loads of topless Adrienne Barbeau. THey thought they were using thier standard US cut and it went out with it's PG rating intact. The BLU-Ray for Road Warrior also uses a different cut than what was always seen in the US and the release isn't touted as such. Hopefully I can add the appropriate time to ONE spot in the RiffTrax and have it all work out. If you have to fiddle a lot with the RiffTrax file you have a good chance of screwing up the jokes. The last thing I want to have to do is editing individual riffs.

Hopefully Rifftrax will adjust the .mp3 so that there can be a Special Edition version of the riff. I'm surprised they didn't use the latest release when they riffed it considering it just came out and all. I have the old version, but I'd like to get the anamorphic version too.
