Agreed, this reminded me of MST3K.  Fun B movie and hilarious riffing. One of their very best IMHO  Clap clap!

Agreed. I wonder what the host segments would have been like?

There definitely would have been some heavy "Gosh all fishhooks!" discussion.

And if it had been a Joel episode they probably would have made their own fishhooks.

I gave it a "9".    Really enjoyed the randomness of this movie.     Our hero getting knocked out by one punch was a classic.

One odd thing I did not notice about the movie was all the women in the movie (except for the old caretaker lady) were very pretty.    Hollywood must have had a lot of pretty women in the 40's just hanging around looking for work.

Hollywood draws in attractive women like moths to a flame. Actually, exactly like moths to a flame.

We are in triple agreement.  Just watched this and enjoyed the hell out of it.  It felt a lot more like MST3K than many of the others.

I find myself watching this over and over again... along with Planet of Dinosaurs.

This does NOT mean I want them to only do tons and tons of old bad movies.  I like the variety.

I gave it a ten! Really enjoyed it a lot. I downloaded this and Each Child is Different the same night, and after that depressing (but great) short, I needed something like this.

Was it just me, it did it sound like maybe they'd been drinking? Bill especially. They really seemed into at any rate, and I love it when they laugh at each others jokes. Those sorts of "episodes" are usually my favorites.

And of course, Disembaudio singing Night Train. Epic. Hard to believe the John Carradine in this movie also did the voice of the Owl in The Secret of NIMH (one of my favorite movies).

Oh, and I'd been wondering about that "disconnct" thing too. I think this is the third Riff I've seen that referenced it (The Room and  Fast and Furious being the other two), and I havn't seen Casablanca so that would make four.

I think this is slightly better than Planet of Dinosaurs, but I loved both. And PoD was longer, so there's that.

I just finally had a chance to watch it with the DVD release last month.  I didn't realize it would provide the option to turn off the Rifftrax the way I like.  What I mean to say is that I like having that option; I almost never use it unless they're riffing a good movie (or a tepid movie that looks interesting enough to watch once without commentary).

Knowing that, I wish I had just bought the burnable image instead of springing for the extra 5 bucks or so for the actual DVD.

The movie was so maddening.  It felt like getting lost in an unfamiliar town on your way to a wedding.  You just turn around and around and around and keep going past the same handful of points over and over again.  Such a dull and repetitive movie.

Just saw this one tonight and honestly I didn't think the film itself was really that bad.  Strange, pointless, and not exactly exciting but not Ed Wood either by any means.

The riffing was great anyway and I give this one an 8.  I'd love to see Rifftrax do more old movies.

I just got the disc from Netflix.  If there had been some host segments and a short this would have been the hay day of MST3K.  Speaking of I gave the riffing a nine but am i the only one who hopes that next time they do a movie this short they either include a short of charge less?  $10 seems a little steep for a DvD this short with out any extras.
