OK, so I watched the trailer. Was there REALLY any historical significance to it or was that just being silly?

The fact that Stephen King is using cinema (specifically the trailer) as his platform to make a personal
jab at Stanley Kubrick for mucking up The Shining - is really interesting.

This is just how I have always read into the trailer.

So I'm a little late to the party but I just finished Space Camp and I laughed my god damn balls off. Every time that satanic little robot was on the screen I thought I was going to die.

"CHECK. THIS OUT." *space shuttle diagram crashes* "AWESOME."

I loved it, and I'm definitely stoked for Maximum Overdrive.

Thanks a lot, decentb!  I loved that joke too.  We discussed at length the fact that the NASA control computer sounded like Alan Rickman.  "Lunch possibilities:"  HA!

Well you should give the record shop a plug here since you know that millions of people read this thread each day.

We've got over 740 jokes in Night of the Lepus.
Something close to that in Space Camp.

and Maximum Overdrive has over 700 as well.

So if you care about that sort of thing,
one of our riffs should do the trick.

I just realized that Maximum Overdrive is scheduled for a Labor Day release. Is it still on track or should I put the Vaseline away for now?

I'd imagine the release date also depends on what kind of a mood the uploader is in as well.  (Server, not the person doing the uploading.  Although I suppose their mood matters too.)

Also true. I recall there being a slight hiccup on the Lepus release.

Well you might as well put the vaseline away for now... our computer crashed again almost three weeks ago. Even though we have been
working around this problem, it is still yet to completed. We are waiting diligently for New Egg to get off their asses and help us out. We
keep getting the runaround. I guess K1 was right. Every f##king time I post a release date, my computer crashes.

This is not mention the fact that we are working on a Super Suprise VOD Riff, all of which is on that computer.

The last time this happened and I had to actually pull out a pen and paper to write jokes, I told myself this was the last time.
Well folks... it's never the last time.

But have no fear, from what we have recorded, and from an overall concensus amongst my fellow Watchalongees,
Maxy will be the funniest iRiff to date.

Stay tuned.

No worries. Don't let computer crap get you down, I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end.

Maximum Overdrive is written, ready to be recorded with the boys.
Finishing up "The Boy in the Plastic Bubble" as we speak.

We're back, and ready to kick some shitty movie ass.
Starting with Travolta, on Christmas Eve.

If you like us spread the word!

Watch the first 15 Minutes of Boy in the Plastic Bubble right here:
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=101776891
(if someone could embed the video, we would appreciate it)

Anyone have any idea when the website will be up?
