Watching it now. This one is absolutely stellar - better than A New Hope if you ask me!

Though I have to ask - has anyone else had trouble hearing Chad Vader? Even with the movie volume lower than the Rifftrax by a decent amount, I can't make out like 80% of his riffs. Mike, Kevin and Bill sound fine, but I'm thinking that Chad's voice is so low it makes it harder to stand out amongst the rest of the noise...  Undecided

Yeah, I had to increase the mp3 audio a bit before rendering the DVD to catch a lot of his lines.. Undecided

I've only listened to a bit of it so far, but yes Chad's lines sound lower than the rest.  That combined with the low-pitch vocal effect goes a long way to make it disappear into the background of the movie.  This one might need some serious ducking.

Really good overall.  The Fawlty Towers/Waldorf Salad reference had me rolling.

It was disappointly dull to start, and average in the end. Nowhere near as funny as Blame Society's Star Wars riff, and as I recall, not as funny as Rifftrax's Star Wars riff either. I laughed out loud a good dozen or so times, but the rest of the jokes were too obscure, obvious, random, hateful or sardonic for me. I felt almost no contribution from Blame Society, but that was expected, as the joy of their riff was in the surprise of how good they were, and the freshness of their own personal riffing style, neither of which comes through with the regular riffers.

The riff wasn't twice as good for the collaboration, and I'm hugely let down that we got this mish-mash instead of two separate riffs. If it's for the selling point, Chad Vader was enough without Matt and Aaron writing.

I give it a 6.

As with all RTs that I am eager for, my own mood may have colored it, so a re-watch (do the riffers thnk we're insane for watching these things so often?) in a week or so may change my opinion.  Also, it's Star Wars, and it's my favorite Star Wars movie, so I may have been distracted just by the movie and my own decades-piled internal riffs of the thing.

I found the last third funnier than the first third, but it seemed kinda fragmented, and I know this is super-picky, some of the volumes and timbres seemed off somehow.  There were times Bill sounded like he was "over on the couch", which is the normal way I hear most of these things, and there were times when it sounded like he was in a bucket with the mic right up against his mouth.

I dunno, I'm probably being whiney and I'll probably laugh more the second time around.  I did with Ep IV.

I thought it was epic. Almost constantly had me laughing, which is tough with a 2hr movie. I didn't have a problem hearing Chad, with exception to a few loud scenes. Then again I don reauthor and just synch up the manual way, so The Audio is pretty good no matter what since the guys are coming through different speakers.

To PAL users, seriously you don't have to wait for the PAL release, just use Audacity to change the tempo of the rifftrax and it synchs up perfectly throughout the film. change tempo by 4.271%.

With this one, that'd probably work, since I really doubt there are any cuts or differences to worry about, just the playback speed.

i thought the whole thing was really quiet, I had my computer cranked all the way up and still had to have the dvd at half the sound I usually have it.

Love Chad Vader.

Maybe it was the long delay between rifftrax's, but this feels nice and refreshed.  I enjoyed every bit of it, and it never felt forced in any way.

I gave it a solid 10.

Doesn't quite top A New Hope, but it still manages a 10 in my book. Great stuff. :^)

I loved it, even though I loathe Chad Vadar.  Fortunately he wasn't in it very much.  So many epic lines, so many awesome C3PO is gay jokes, it was really good.  I know it will be a while but I'm, already looking forward to them taking on ROTJ.
