So will an updated version of the Readme be forthcoming?

Why bother? The title is the only thing that's wrong. The rest is right.

Any idea when that'll be out? Or any way to make VLC play a PAL file so that it will sync with an NTSC rifftrax?? hehe

Just wondering.  I use the chapter stop text on my menus, but obviously it's not a dealbreaker if they aren't present (in fact, my menus are compiling right now).

There's nothing wrong with the chapter stops, providing there are 50 chapters in Empire. The only thing that's wrong is the title above the chapter stops reads Die Hard.

Thrifty is lamenting the loss of the funny chapter stop text.

Yeah, sorry about this.  Legend Films CEO took the DVD with him on a trip, so we don't have any way of fixing the chapter stops.  If you want to organize a crowd sourced Chapter Naming session, we can include an updated readme version in future downloads.

Big thanks to the Rifftrax guys for doing this.  I'm definitely looking forward to Jedi.  And I kind of wish George would make another trilogy just so we could have some more Star Wars rifftraxing.

Ditto on Chad Vader being too low in the mix.  I'm not sure how they do his voice in these sessions, whether it's a filter of some kind applied live or his voice is recorded normally and then altered in post-production.  Maybe someone in the know knows...?

I guess doing this one was somewhat controversial among some of you since it's the most serious (and best all around) installment of the trilogy.  But  watching Empire and New Hope I was reminded of one of the key reasons I liked MST3K, namely that the riffers often point out flaws in the plot, writing, cinematography, etc. that I didn't catch the first time around, and don't just make stupid jokes all the time (although there's nothing wrong with stupid jokes).

The culture surrounding these movies has become so self-serious over the years, culminating in the awful, awful episodes I-III, and I think these rifftrax help provide some needed perspective - that they are, after all, just goofy space movies from the late 70s-early 80s.  Fun to watch, yes; ahead of their time, sure; but still very flawed.

Well, I sit in patience (which I am NOT good at) awaiting the PAL version for us loyal British followers.

I'm still waiting........

For this Riff, should I get the original cut, or GL's "special edition"?

and as with the New Hope riff, you really have no choice but to buy the right one.  You either buy the Special Edition alone, or you buy the Special Edition (with bonus theatrical version on disc two so we can act like its not the obly reason you're buying it)

Could someone please go to Netflix ad see which one of the movies I need to rent to do this?
They have the regular theatrical edition and the other edition which doesn't say SPecial Edition.
Could someone help me?
Thanks!

If it's on a DVD, it has the Special Edition on it, and that's the one you want. :^)

I believe they already fixed this, or at least improved on it.  When did you download it?  If you got it early, then just go back to your "My Files" listing and download it again.  You should find that it's louder this time.
