You know, I could have sworn that someone already started one of these, but I can't find it. Oh well.
To start this up, starting tomorrow (April 1st) Sony is dropping the price of the PS2 to $99. If you don't have a PS2 (or if you need a backup) this might be a good time to pick one up, as there might be one or two good games available for the system.
And it's not an April Fools Day joke? I may just have to get a back-up. I've had my old one for at least 6 years and it still works perfectly fine. I even bought a network adapter for it, though that hardly got used. I suppose it probably doesn't have much life left in it though, and since I joined the PS3 community late I missed out on BC, though I read it was never that great anyway. So unless Sony releases some kind of update that will let me play my PS2 games on it, a backup will be a wonderful thing to have.

Oh, and through the end of the day: Puzzle Quest Galactrix for the PC- Just $9.99. Not as fun as the original Puzzle Quest, but still pretty enjoyable.

How much you want to bet the PS2 will continue to out sell the PS3?
The is week Target is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on Wii games.
They would do that when I have no money . . . Don't worry. I was there today and it's only on selected games, most the likes of M&M Racing. Wrong its actually every game... only selected games are excluded, most the likes of wii fit. You're right. The Target I went to the first night only had the sale sign up on the end cap with a bunch of junk games. The one I was at last night had signs everywhere.

I wonder what sales are like outside the Nintendo published stuff for the Wii. I know Madworld didn't do that well for it. People seem to buy Wii Fit, Mario Kart, Wii Sports and Wii Play and that's enough for them.

Man, I still need to get Mario Kart Wii and my kids and wife have been wanting Mario Galaxy. These kind of sales are perfect for getting those Mario games that never go down in price.
Stupid unemployment . . .

Every once in a blue moon they'll have those games for like $25 on amazon. I'll keep an eye peeled.

By the way::: the Edge Card will get you 10 percent off any order at Gamestop. Why do you need an Edge Card, you ask... well Gamestop likes to do B2G1 about 4 or 5 times a year... take 10 percent which add to the sale gives you like 43 percent off total Edge Card is also useful for selling games, wait for either a good sale or a good coupon (they send one every week via your email addy) then stack the 10 percent on top ... save up credit. Yet another useful reason to have an Edge Card is to use it online at gamestop.com ... code SAVER gets you free shipping, code CAG16 gets you 16 percent off, and edge card gets you 10 percent off. So basically 26% off on all online orders with free shipping all year long. (Built up credit can also be used online.) if you don't have an Egde card yet... what the hell are you waiting for Also it gets you a free subscription to Game Informer (and costs 15 dollars a year.)

I did that a couple of years ago, but didn't renew it when it came up again. I just don't buy or trade enough games in a year to make the $15 up front fee worth it. I did recently get an XBox Monthly subscription - mostly because of the demo discs that come with it. That way I get to play demos that aren't available on XBL and I save space on my hard drive.

Haha, fair enough Rude. But this is the Video Game Bargain Thread after all. Edge card has probably saved me a hundred dollars this year... basically your mileage may vary.
For the most part I only buy from Gamestop when they have B2G1 sales. The CAG16 code used to stack with the the B2G1 sale *reminisces* those were the days.

Amazon has At the Movies 360 on sale for 10 dollars.
Gamestop has a bunch of games on sale... I grabbed the Namco Collection (360) and Ghost Squad (wii) for 15 each.
Gamefly has Force Unleashed (used) for 20. Got it for the Wii.

That's not a bargain. They should be paying you to play that game.
