Solid 9.  I pre-watched the movie without the riff so I wouldn't be dividing my attention, and that may have helped.  Laughing and groaning (in a "Whoa, that was cold" sense) most of the way through.

And this'll shake up certain posters, but a friend of mine saw the movie with me for the first time (before the riff), and he was quite blown away.  Truly impressed that the movie lived up to the hype.  This makes the second time he's seen a movie because of Rifftrax and came away really liking the movie.  Consider that some counter-balance for all the Bat-backlash.

I always think superhero movies are stupid.  Not just because one character dresses up like a bat but that Gotham City resembles Afghanistan only smaller.  This a good riff.

I gave it a 7.  I thought it was decent while watching it but only a couple of hours after, I can't really remember any lines that jumped out at me.  I did like Bill's reaction to Nick Nolte sounding like Batman, and the throw back to the Adam West fight scene but that's about it.  Maybe I'll like it more on a second pass.

In case you were wondering, that friend was me.  I saw the movie (for the first time) and the movie with the riff (for the first time) on the same day with a lunch dividing the two.  A most interesting experience.  For the record, I recommend that you always see a good movie without the riff before giving it the riff treatment.  Good movies can distract from the riff, plus you get to enjoy them twice.  Bad movies, not so much.

My rankings:

The Movie: 10!  The best recent movie I've seen in years.  It is one of the few movies I have ever seen that lived up to the hype - in fact, I would say it exceeded the hype.  And this is from someone who thought that the Michael Keaton Batman was over-hyped (though still good - thank you Nicholson).

The Riff: 9!  I originally was going to give it an 8 due to a few dry patches (it is a LONG movie, so that will happen), but a day later is seems more funny than when I watched it the first time.  Many LOL moments.  And I have to give real credit for the Rifftrax crew managing to find a few cracks in the movie and exploiting them for all they were worth, managing to turn some really good dramatic scenes into B-movie jokes.  And the thing is they managed to do that without lowering my opinion of the film.  Wow.

I thought the first 15-20 minutes of the rifftrax started slowly. It really started to pick up steam after that, though, and there were numerous times when I'd be laughing out loud for several riffs in a row. The hardest part for me was during Joker's second appearance... it really was amazing acting, so the first time I was listening to the rifftrax I stopped it there because I wanted to watch the movie. The second time I resisted the urge, though, and it started becoming hilarious to me.

Very good riff. I gave it a 9. After seeing it... I think a lot of people over reacted to the riff. They really didn't go after Maggie Gyllenhaal as much as it seems some have said and all the jokes were in good taste (for heath ledger). Personally I prefer them riffing the 'crappier' movies out there, but a nice one to have in my collection! And if anyone is afraid to buy it because they love the movie... you shouldn't worry. I never got the impression they were bashing the movie.. just poking a little fun.

I would say the rifftrax was so-so.  I mean, it was enjoyable at first, but as the movie went on I found the riffs were getting lighter and I was more interested in just watching the movie.  I think it was really a combination of TDK being both a pretty good movie and very long that make it tough to riff.  I think any movie that's too long (unless it's absolutely, ridiculously bad, like Batman and Robin bad) will end up with riffs that start to drag after awhile.

Lots of fun.

Loved it when Kevin blew the whistle on the movie.

The Terrible Trivium

Wow.  That was... incredible.  One of maybe 3 times I've ever knew I was watching a 10 when it was all over.  This made my Top 10, no question.

The strangest part is that I love the movie.  Aside from doubts of riffing such a dark movie along with issues I had with the Memento riff, I kept away from this for the longest time assuming I'd never see it.  It was actually this 10min sample on YouTube that convinced me it'd be worth the time and purchase (and I'm so glad I did!).  Thanks, guys, for such an awesome track!

As for the movie, I don't know if The Dark Knight should be compared to The Godfather or any other cinematic masterpiece.  However, I'd say it's one of, if not the, greatest popcorn movie ever made.  And if not "the greatest" (whatever that really means), then certainly the most intelligent.  It never placates the viewer, but rather, it challenges your average movie-goer to sit up and think.  It demands its audience to take issue with some philosophical concepts.  When was the last time you saw a big action summer blockbuster do that?  And with this level of gravitas?  I still don't get the Worst Movie Ever people.  I mean, I get the problem with maybe the difficulties of Joker's master plan, but Usual Suspects had wider gaping holes.  I Heart Huckabees laid down the philosophical allegories way thicker.  The movie is entertaining enough that I can forgive a few loopholes (the kind that every, every movie has).  All the loopholes I've heard were discounted when I watched it, so I really don't know what else to say about that.  So I don't really get the total disgust for Dark Knight.  My best guess for such extremity is reactionary to the critical acclaim (which is still ranking a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes btw) and IMDb's dubious #2 ranking (which has long since gone significantly down).  Like Twilight, Titanic or Avatar, I guess some people can't separate the movie from the people who love the movie.  Until I can sit down and watch this with somebody who hates it so they can tell me at what point it becomes preposterous with an ability to retain the benefit of the doubt (which if that were a vinn diagram, I don't think the circles would ever meet), then I'm gonna hold to that contrarian theory.

I just realized, for those that hate Dark Knight, you should thank God Almighty for its success instead of complaining about it because I think you'd much, much, much rather see people cash in on rip-offs of styles/substances of Dark Knight than movies like Couples Retreat or Wild Hogs (movies that have been probably "too" successful/influential).

Hate it?  No.  But Ledger's Joker scenes aside, it's not a very good movie.

Yeah... I still don't get that.  The sad thing is that I'm sure we've both heard arguments for and against each side, so I hold out very little hope for either of us to change our minds.
