Great sample (though I couldn't look for part of it!) and the description took just the right tone. Smiley

I might just end up enjoying this RiffTrax more than anyone else. I'm so absurdly sensitive to dark, intense movies -- yep, even PG-13 ones -- that I couldn't bring myself to see this one. A RiffTrax is probably just what I need to take the edge off and get through it.

Pretty good sample. Was laughing hysterically at the "he would cut prices and beat any competition" bit (and kudos for lemon drink) Cheesy

Shame I'll have to wait until Christmas to get this one. Oh well, should make for a good Christmas afternoon.

The ducking on the sample's a bit rough.

But it looks like a good riff.

Huh, I thought that was just my connection. It was a bit spotty here and there, hope it isn't like that in the actual riff.

Ducking on the riff? You do know that the riff is just an mp3, right?

We'll upload a new version of the sample in the am.

Rifftrax: No Movie Is Safe

As soon as I get my copy, I am downloading the riff. We already know no film is safe from Rifftrax's fury, not even one which many of us hop to God will make more than "Titanic".

Hey Bill, it's not a matter of it being disrespectful so much as a bit morbid to laugh at jokes at the guy's expense just yet.

I certainly wouldn't think you'd be making jokes ABOUT his death right now*, just that I personally aren't ready for this Rifftrax right now.

And this isn't a comment on those who are and enjoy it right now, and this isn't really a comment on you guys for recording it (although, given the wealth of other movies out there I do wish you'd waited a little bit).

That said, down the line (probably after I've watched the movie a few times) I might well pick up the track. And, it seems that this might be a fastest selling trax, given the way the site didn't seem to handle the release that well? So good for you guys!

I'm still a Rifftrax supporter, and I hope that this version of the discussion doesn't go as stupid as the last did.

*I even think that would be fair game down the line.

I get you, EJG.  But to me, there's a difference between making jokes at the expense of the actor, and at the expense of the character.  I know the line isn't rock-solid, but in the case of H. Ledger, we took care not to make it about him, just the Joker.

In my opinion, if that is STILL morbid, then so is the fact that Warner Bros. is released the movie at all this summer, and is promoting the DVD heavily now.

cheers,
bc

I get ya.

Of course I haven't seen it, and I haven't rushed out to buy the dvd either.

Down the line I will, I'm sure!

Thanks.

That's not morbid, but I'm pretty sure the Joker halloween mask is.

Well it looked terrible, so that's something (not sure if that's a plus or a minus, though, me sorta missing the 'morbid' aspect of all this).

Morbid is the new sexy. Haven't you ever been to Hot Topic, or heard anything about Twilight?
