I've seen 'em all and I'd go with Santa Sangre for most riffable. It is very violent, even by Jodorowsky standards, earning an NC-17 for violence. which caused one scene to be trimmed to get an R for the US release.

If you took Psycho, changed the setting to a Mexican circus, put Marcel Marceau in the Norman Bates role, and ate a handful of shrooms, you would get something close to the fun-fest that is Santa Sangre.

The only problem would be getting the film, as it is not part of Allen Klein's re-release of Jodorowsky's catalog. I have an .avi, but Netflix is not an option. People would have to buy a copy from Amazon or something.

Supposedly Jodorowsky is currently shooting a new film, King Shot, with Nick Nolte and Marilyn Manson (as the Pope).

Someone somewhere needs to riff on Starship Troopers.  Also, after a brief search it would seem no Van Damme movies have been riffed yet -- whatsupwitdat?

I think Street Fighter got riffed, so that's some Van Damme down.  Haven't seen it so no idea if it was good.

As I recall, I didn't think it was a very good iRiff, though.

Someone has riffed the newest Street Fighter movie, but it hasn't been uploaded yet. The catalog page is up though.

They haven't riffed Van Damme, but Vin Diesel is the Jean-Claude Van Damme of our time and they've done two of his movies.

It is a very weak riff track, IMO, compounded by the fact that the technical aspects were not handled well.  I gave it 3 stars at the time, and given the quality of other riff tracks which have been produced since then, I'd probably give it 2 stars if I were to rank it right now.

Street FIgher is a winner - I might have to convince my Film Is Pwn compadres to do a regular Van Damme vehicle like his teamup with Dennis Rodman, Double Team, or Nowhere to Run -- you know, the classics!

Dude, everyone said that the Street Fighter riff wasn't good and riffs with multiples usually do better than those that don't so if you want to do it, do it.  You're not going to get rich off this so you might as well do what makes you happy and if that's riff Street Fighter then riff Street Fighter.  At the Rifftrax homepage you can do a search for any film titles that have riffs, including iriffs.  Check there if you want to know whether or not a movie has a riffftrack.

I know no ones is going to get rich off this to say the least ( I expect 5 bucks...and that is an optimistic opinion, lol) But I thought there was a community stigma against doing  a riff on something someone already did.

Not really.  If you copied jokes on purpose that'd be one thing, but hell there've been several Twilight iRiffs already.  A couple released around the same time, then came the Rifftrax, then came another iRiff much later.  Long as you come up with something original it's all good.

Yeah, people like to compare and contrast and see just how different Rifftrax can be for just one movie.  Stigmas be damned.  Even though I'm pretty sure their really isn't one like that.  If so it's not communal but up to the individual iriffer.  If remember while I was doing “THEM!” I was curious how someone else might do it and even thought about encouraging others to try it.

And it takes 25 bucks just to get a check so you may want to raise your expectations a little higher.   Smiley

If you did a good street fighter riff... I'd buy it.
